That description reminded me of a manga that I read few years ago, except, the MC wasn't a boy but a buff body builder who somehow got mistaken for the girl to be a maho shoujo, because their names were similar and the magic creature made a mistake, anyway, the bodybuilder didn't hesitate and loved the new clothes as he wore them he would make many poses while figthing the monsters with his buff muscles, it was quite the crazy manga honestly but strangely funny
