"When the Final Trumpet gets called, All Earth Breaks Loose On Hell."

    Linky
    First chapter

I dont think this novel is popular enough, which is a real shame considering how amazing it is. I'm binge-rereading it soon so I might as well advertise it around. Maybe someone will read it and we can discuss the content on a later date.

    Synopsis:

What if God decided that everyone's time is up, and Satan's Legion of Hell is coming to claim every single souls on earth?

Simply put, the governments of earth declare war on heaven and hell.

While the premise is simple, the global scale alone make it a very complicated thing to write (which the author did very splendidly). There are more than literal bullet-storm massive battle, new field of research are always ongoing behind the scene approaching and dismantling the "magic" with scientific approach whereas politics still progress although almost everyone (naturally) near-unanimously agreed to help each other. One of the best part, though, is the switch to the demon's point of view - their whole system is archaic, which make some beautiful shock when they encounter the seemingly sudden increase in human's overall strength. Satan's rages are priceless.

It still managed to remain interesting even on the infodump chapter. Author also have military background, so the stuff he wrote should be fairly accurate. All in all, I hope you guys give this a read. It wont disappoint, promise!

Agreed. I remember reading this a while ago and really liking it. It really should get more reads. Especially if you're into dumb fun military porn. Also if you like Gate.

No matter how I look at it, this seems kinda unnatural. If it's really based off humans, then too many factors would split humans instead of bringing them together. For example, religious extremists from the other major religions would totally be against/disbelieve this entire catholic war. At the same time, various countries would vie for greater advantages during this war, even if they "say" they're gonna help mankind against the demons and angels. Unless a country is politically dominant, I don't see how humans would be selfless enough to unite. Race, nationalism, religion.

If the story does touch upon all this and makes it realistic, then say so. Just hearing that everyone "naturally" unites made me laugh out loud.

People united because the announcement literally is sent multiple times, directly into their head, with their mother tongue, saying that God want them to lie down and die because humanity's time is up. Then massive demons are sent to several major capitals in the world just in case the message wasnt clear enough (although they get shot to crap first because they're massive freaking demons).

True fanatics does lie down and die. The terrorist who truly thought they fought for god are disillusioned and stop their fight immediately. Announcement that

Most countries band together (two particular didn't), although no aid is given without string attached they does work together.

Please, read the first five chapters. Then you can decide whether the premise is stupid or not.

I see the 'Multiple points of view' tag. Does the author do it well? Cause there's a lot of trashy ones out there. Also is there multiple MC's? I don't really like them

Edit: holy carp, when I put the first chap into my favourites it showed History, Politics and Current affairs. I'm feel proud of my self to see such a thing in my favourites bar

It's done really well from my view. But it's not multiple MC, more like none - it display the front of war one at a time, showing the most important part of that particular piece without overly emphasizing on one person. It'll use a previously appeared character if possible, but even from the view of someone who literally appear on that chapter before dying have full name and rank with properly written emotions. It shows that there are way more people fighting in the background, everyone have a role to do instead of just a select few (although some recurring characters ARE more important than others).

But from the fact that you favorite it, you liked the novel yeah?

    Wait, question! Is it finished?
.... I read around and found this. It seems concerning.

"It is indeed mine but to get it published as anything other than a vanity work requires a publisher and now it's been distributed by torrent, no publisher will touch it.

You see, the current assumption is that posting on the internet = free publicity. Torrents are mass distribution and are therefore publishing. So, the little piece of **** who posted the torrents stole my work and destroyed any chance of publishing the books. With no hope of getting any financial return for the work invested in them, I'm not prepared to undertake such work. So, TSW is completely and finally dead as far as printed paper or future additions to the saga are concerned.

This is a very clear, explicit example of how piracy destroys creativity.

The good news is that I'll be concentrating on TBO in future. "
    So... it's dead?

Book 1 and book 2 is finished, which account for both hell and heaven. Supposedly there's a third party that force everyone to unite in book 3, but only a bit of sequel hook was thrown around so it's perfectly readable.

Shame it's pretty hard to read on mobile in that forum format. Is there any ePub versions or something?

There most likely is, since some dipshit did throw the whole book to the torrent community.

I think my biggest peeve with the author is that he decided to stop writing the third book because the "payout" wasn't big enough. When someone mentioned Lulu it was just kind of ignored.

So fine, assume that you would have got 10% royalties and a 10k advance on the book with a first print run of 50K (which is pretty huge)

If it was paper backs and there were sold for 8 bucks each that's 40K in royalties so about 50K total.

Ok i know over time more sales would have led to more money, but what is wrong with a payout where you kickstart a campaign for say 20-50K to pay for your time and the fancy "backer only" copies. Then let a print on demand company handle the rest. You still get a residual income (probably more than the regular companies (percent wise)) and you finish your story. It's a win / win.

That one asshat kind of ruin any prospect of publishing the book, that's why it stopped.
