Hi all, I am currently writing my very first webnovel. At the moment, I am posting on royal road and webnovel (they offered me a contract but I refused. I’m still using them for audience though). Anyway, I am currently looking for sites where to upload my work in order to increase my readers. If you any suggestions, it would be very helpful.
Remember, any contracts given to you by webnovel, just reject immediately, unless you don't mind your work getting hijacked and dead. Scribblehub is one Fanfiction.net is two, though a little dead. Archive of Our Own is three.
Thanks for the replies. By any chance, do you know creative novels? I read some old threads for looking answer and I notice this site. But I also noticed they are using locked chapters like webnovel. So if someone has experience with this website, it would be helpful hearing his/her opinion about it.
Spacebattle Sufficient velocity Questionable questing I heard SB is pretty harsh with NSFW contents, so if your story has it you might sant to be careful there...
They have normal chapters that are released for free. The locked chapters are if you want to read ahead. I think.
Scribblehub users, also known as “I stole other artist’s artwork to use as my cover for my very original web novel.” Yikes.
It's not like there aren't other original webnovel creators that do that to... especially on Webnovel and Wattpad
Authors can lock chapters for advanced chapters. They are not allowed for a permanent lock for ongoing novels.
Since it's an original then first publish it on webnovel app (and dont dont sign the contract) so that it couldn't be stolen by someone else. Then on royalroad and scribblehub and archive of our own if you want to and if its a fanfic then on fanfiction.net too. Don't do it on SB if you are going to have nsfw on it and good luck
And how do you suppose every author out there get the artwork for their novels done. They either get it commissioned which costs a lot of money as in hundreds of dollars or they just find a good artwork on the internet. Considering the people posting on scribblehub are mostly doing it for fun or as a hobby, why would they spend so much money? Though it's there fault too if they don't credit the original creator for the artwork but still you can't blame them much.
so a lot of people are suggesting Scribble Hub and the like; I don't have experience with it but I do agree with some users about the stolen cover images, pretty negligible if it does turn out user friendly. It also gives notifications on novelupdates Archive You Own requires an wait-list account (you have to wait before starting up your account) and the their is no save drafting so it's rather finicky but because comments stay Anonymous you can get a decent amount of feedback. no only that, their genres and tags are extremely search friendly. I DO NOT suggest Webnovel because they're ripping off authors Wattpad has many contests and so far it seems like a pretty clean website if you don't go mind sharing it with a large amount of unfiltered users. they provide many opportunities for their authors to get out their and very interactive with their community. Fanfiction.net it's fallen out of the mainstream and shares some qualities with other websites. it's very secure, it's anti copy-paste but like Archive the save drafting is finicky and it's interface isn't appealing take everything with a grain of salt. the ones that offer the most convenience is usually the one with the most problems. I personally suggest Archive
Different websites have different target audiences. What's your webnovel about? For example, Scribblehub is good for weeb/isekai RoyalRoad is a good place for LitRPGs, etc.
It’s a cultivation novel but a different from the usual. It is called Son of the Spirit Beast. Anyway, I wanted to thanks all of you for your suggestions. Thanks
