I will give it a try. I got fed up with Supreme Magus and dropped it a while back.

Chrysalis, tree of aeons, everybody loves big chests, fork this life, threadbare...
Now I stumbled upon parasite and caterpillar. Hope, they won’t disappoint

Honestly I stopped a chapter 365 of Supreme Magus. I enjoyed watching as Lith slowly began to open up to human relationships. I like the plot but the writing makes it difficult to enjoy, feeling self-centered on Lith hiding his powers even till now. Then when he reveals them they are barely above to what he already shows. He's only a few steps ahead, but that is it. His ambiguous relationship with the tower is cute, they've been together for a while. Yet, his fondness for the relationship he had with Phloria made me doubt his character every step of the way. His logic is flawed and his outlook in life is heavy, at times he is funny but mostly the mood is overall heavy as if the world is trying to prove that humanity is made up of greedy pricks.

I think the problem is the slow pacing in the story it highlights the flaws and each battle giving a feeling of excitement and growth, makes me feel as if Lith is tired and leeches out the fun out of everything. The "AI" Solus is too emotional and meddlesome acting as some kind of hybrid of a wife and psychologist.

I agree with you. This is a good novel made with careful characterization. Every character have their own development, there are no forgotten character. The MC is NOT OP, he have to work really hard to get stronger. I read up to 1812 and he's still far from became the strongest. This is not your usual cheat isekai story. If you want a novel that goes with your prediction and don't like surprises this is not for you. I literally cried a few time reading this novel.

Yeah lol I quit this novel because of that. I'm pretty sure it's gonna turn into one of those power of love novel where protagonist being influenced by love changes. I mean wtf was that thing? When he pretended to be drunk or something...and become a good guy with 0 sense of humor... I can't recall it correctly but yeah that was the reason I quit this novel
