Discussion Taboo things to say on translator.

Seriously, i'm a hater of PMG. but not too much. I just hate the novel, not the translator. Usually when i see something disgusting comments on internet i just let it pass cuz, who cares? But this time, a douchebag account on PMG called 'Yi Yun' really got into my nerves. And not to mention other novels. In case something from the novel makes you dissatisfied or even disappointed, please don't let it show too much. If you want to drop the novel, just drop it. I'm not saying you don't have to express your opinion, just that don't criticize it to the point it would spoil the fun. And i know some of you would say, 'but it won't change the fact that the author's a shit!,' then wat about the translator? Unless you a bitch without a conscience you would should know they too have feelings, and be considerate about it too! They too could lose their interest in translating because of your bitchings.

To be honest, i've already became a hypocrite by saying this...

 

Seriously I a fan of PMG and glad for their translation works...
I read the comments about particular douchebag that bring shame to his name..
I just hoping translator skip the bad comment and go through the good one for motivations

this happens because lots of people believing calling something trash/shit = criticize and worst part they force their argument into another for example in NUF

 

Forgive? I'd IP ban them without a split thought. We should have a blacklist of people's accounts/names/IP's which are trolls and assholes then all the translating sites can decide whether they want to ban them or not.

PMG is pretty good, just don't take it too seriously. View it as Italian Commedia dell'arte, with some over-exaggeration and over-acting to emphasize some peculiarity. If you've seen or read any swashbuckler also called “cape and sword” novel/movie you'll understand.

As for what's going on about PMG translation and all the drama, it has been going on for almost 3 months now. As I see it, both side are in the wrong, heck all side are in the wrong. The judge, the jury, the executioner, the witnesses, the trolls, etc. The hardcore fans who pour oil on fire accusing people who asked for some news to STFU. The ones who asked for news and got insulted by the hardcore fans and then overreact, which only intensify the situation.

The blames lay on all parties. The translation team, because all this drama happen because they are too lazy to offer any news except the occasional unreliable cryptic messages once in a while. And the fans who demands to have some news. Sure the translation team doesn't owe anything to anyone, but with that attitude, you have to expect some people to react.

Anyhow, prior to this debacle situation, the translation team had an exemplary track record. Fast release, good translation quality, the translator and her team looks like good and interesting people who always took time to reply to the comment section. I hope things will get better for her.
