How do you mean linked to search by tags? While I can see it functioning in a search by tag, I would like an option where people can check the description of the tags BEFORE they start adding them to a novel page.
Maybe that would only work with genre's not tags... Since there is so many.. Like 40-50 with check marks like other sites? Maybe segregate the tags more / main plot tropes, ones that are used alot? Just shooting out ideas...
create definition actually not hard~ the one who make tag is one who know why and it's definition~ worst case if want it easy just destroy all tags and lock when tony make such system~ starting from zero again~ way better than think hard for each tags~ bureaucracy is pain in da butt you know~
Tags are created and ultimately removed by the community. @Tony does not make them. Asking him to define the tags you make is a little... silly. Nah, not a little. It's really silly. ... That said, maybe he could make this work the same way, by giving the community a place to enter those tag definitions and letting it maintain itself. The only problem then becomes whether or not you guys even agree on what the tags mean. ... My guess is no.
I dislike the lolicon or loli tag for the very reason you give that its community defined. its used to tell others there is a loli character in the novel in a semi relationship with the MC but in my world it means the MC likes to diddle little girls.
Frankly, even if that tag was not community defined, the meaning wouldn't change. You'd still be out of luck.

For checking tag status and definitions. Sure there can be one on NU but for questions regarding them, those who are responsible enough would have checked first at NUF. I could really have done without knowing what Bodice Ripper is if the guy who added that used the Search function on NUF. We already have a Tag list. @Tony posted it awhile back.
