I recently was reminded of how, in the Disgaea games, if I see a prinny, I always want to defeat it by throwing, since this causes them to explode. It started out as me just enjoying the fact that it was possible to throw a character and have it explode and later on became something akin to an obsession. Now, here is my question, do any of you remember any enemies in a game that you enjoyed taking out in a specific way? Or did you all never really pay attention to how you defeated your enemies in a game?
There was a mod in multiplayer Unreal Tournament 2k3 where penis shots would also count as HEADSHOT and have the announcer call it out, that was my favourite thing to do.
dark souls. making any enemy jump to their own death. dark messiah of might and magic had some great "shoving" features, as well. was so much fun kicking enemies onto spikes and such. Thief: the dark project. knock out everybody in an area, carry their bodies to a pond or something, toss 'em all into the same spot, and let 'em drown in their sleep.
Almost all of the more powerful attacks in Disgaea games have fun animation for at least the first few times you use them. I remember wanting the Giga and Tera spells mostly for their animations. Same for mastering most weapons, the power was bonus, but I was often more interested in what they would look like.
In the Nintendo game of Zelda Ocarina of Time, I like to defeat the last battle boss with glass bottles and deku nuts.
MMOs all have those poisonous / exploding pods littered around dungeons. I never attack those until one of my party members is standing right next to it. It always manages to crack me up. They always have the same reaction too. Stopping in their tracks followed by ".....???" in the party chat.
I don't care much about killing in style... most importantly is how fast I can kill em while taking less damage <---- archer, thief usually.
Not all fit my cup of tea..... Still, if you guys ever play Warface, using squidgun to shoot down KA-50 Helicopter is my very favorite( and it work until Ice Breaker updates came out and RGML-1000 become next favorite).
