Have you tried mixing your black tea with more water? 50:50, or 30:70? Add some sugar or honey afterwards, and it becomes more relaxing. On the other hand, white tea tastes sweet on its own, and has practically no caffeine.
Because in chinese it is called Pao pao cha (Bubble tea) :v The black/golden pearls look like bubbles.
@wonderer I don't. I've tried it once or twice, found it okay, but nothing more. Plenty of others like it, though, particularly those who don't drink other teas.
I thought it was called Zhen Zhu Nai Cha (珍珠奶茶). My favorite is plain black tea with tapioca pearls and less sugar...
Taiwan Singapore called it paopao cha (泡泡茶)but Malaysia calls it zhen zhu nai cai 珍珠奶茶 haha!! I used to call it pearl milk tea/zhen zhu nai cai in my hometown in Malaysia because everyone called it that. Then when I moved to Singapore it became bubble tea yeah.
I've always ordered it in Taiwan by saying Zhen Zhu Nai Cha... have I been doing it wrong this whole time? Dx Oh god... I'll give the paopao cha a try when I go back this summer. Thanks ^^
I learned about it in secondary school. There were people selling 'bubble tea' as a club activity. It was damn good especially the bubbles and I wasn't as sensitive to milk back then. *sips green tea* Dang it... who voted for only one? Now we have a single 34 D=
