So I suddenly felt like reading something where the teacher/master really cares about their student/disciple. Like a lot. The MC could be the teacher, or the MC could be the student, I don't care, but I do want to see interactions that make it funny or touching. Like My Disciple Died Again has quite the overprotective master and adorable student all throughout the novel and it's fun to read. Even Douluo Dalu with how the grandmaster always takes care of Tang San, and Shrek in general. It can be xianxia/xuanhuan/wuxia, I don't care, but I do wish the story would at least be good~ My reading list is public, so do what you need! Thanks guys/gals!

I guess ZhanXian sort of fits? Yang Chen is the disciple but he's protecting his master instead of the opposite. (It's a second chance story where he returns to his past.)

Shen Yin Wang Zuo maybe, but the time they spend together is kinda short as the MC quickly surpasses him and then he's most of the time on missions or training. Ze Tian Ji Skyfire Avenue might count as well, but it's a bit of a painful kind of affection.
The Legend of Sun Knight - the protagonist is both a disciple and teacher. Both Sun and his teacher are strict, but they're also the first to bail their charges out and seek revenge when they're harmed. In Sun's case, he personally raises his vice-captain and platoon and they all love him, and in addition: Spoiler He later gets his own disciple to teach to take over his position as Sun Knight.
