Ok, I when to https://www.cnet.com/how-to/how-to-protect-your-pc-against-the-intel-chip-flaw/ and they said that if your he OS Build will read 16299.125 that you got the KB4056892 update for window but when I look at my update for window I did not see it. So am I in the clear or not. P.S. the reason I am asking is because I have anxiety right now
Idk how to solve ur problem, but i just wanna say that u shouldnt be so scared..... Unless u have someone specifically targetting u, u honestly shouldnt be freaking out lol
Why do you have anxiety? This type of backdoor won't be used against normal people like most of us here. And you had it in for years now. Did you have anxiety all the time?
windows may have installed the update in the background (depending on your settings) EDIT: Check update history
Probably not the best place to ask questions to lower your anxiety, if anything you'll end up with severe schizophrenia with the 'help' people here can give you.
Microsoft might not have pushed the patch out via Windows Update to you yet. This could be due to your antivirus software. Some AV packages will cause your computer to blue screen and potentially require you to reformat your computer if you install the update prior to your AV software receiving an update to fix the issue. Once Windows detects your AV software is capable of not killing your computer during the update, Windows Update will display that patch. Despite that, if you want to manually patch Windows, check here: https://www.bleepingcomputer.com/ne...pdates-to-fix-meltdown-and-spectre-cpu-flaws/ And here for more info: https://www.bleepingcomputer.com/ne...stems-for-the-meltdown-and-spectre-cpu-flaws/ Edit: As others have mentioned, there's no need to be anxious about this. As far as anyone knows, there have been no attacks or malware based on these vulnerabilities. The chances that you'll be targeted by them before you get your system patched are nearly 0. Right now, the only people who have the resources to weaponize this vulnerability so quickly would be government actors. Unless you believe the US or China is targeting you, you're not in any immediate danger.
Well, considering the fact you're using an intel processor, the first mistake you made was not building your own computer (unless you're a rich mofo) >.> and if you followed the steps that were listed properly and don't see it, you're fine
I tried to install this manually as i didnt saw it in my history, but it said that it's already installed, so maybe you have the same problem ;p
"I tried so hardAnd got so farBut in the end It doesn't even matter I had to fall To lose it all But in the end It doesn't even matter"
Not everyone has the space in their homes to build a tower and currently building a laptop isn't really an option for the general public.
I would be worried like you if only it was happening like when I'm still in highschool, when I still have 43GB porns hidden in my PC. Now all of it was gone, I don't really care about it
