https://www.animenewsnetwork.com/fe...on-crusoe-how-to-build-a-civilization/.142729 It's good. Surprising to see this in a source which reviews episodes by the grade of B's and C's (and always saying "I wish another good action/fight scene comes again" every SoL episodes) but the article in discussion was a great read for me. Just sharing.
I wouldn't had written an Article like that just because one anime is similar to playing civilization on easy mode.
I prefer “Mysterious Island” and “Robinson Crusoe” myself. Literally the entire genre has a taint of the “Benevolent Colonialism” which I find distasteful, but I do love stories of survival in desolate situations. Extra Facts: It is stated clearly in “Robinson Crusoe” that the protagonist was in the slave trading business...and after he leaves the island, Friday becomes his servant... Extra Extra Facts: Part of the plotline for “the Martian” came from “Robinson Crusoe on Mars” “Swiss Family Robinson” is luckier in that it avoided using tropes that would turn modern readers off... Interesting thing I just noticed...Rimuru is... A combination of Gilligan and the Professor...(you just knew “Gilligan’s Island” would come up, right?) in that he’s both guiding Tempest, but is sometimes the jokester...though Gabil is a good candidate for Gilligan...
What I’m worried about is if Slimes makes it to “the Birth of a (deleted)” arc... I hope so, and the next arc afterwards. We’re already seeing the C arc... I wanna see Rimuru in my fav arcs!
