Name: The Nine Cauldrons Raw Link: no idea Why It Should Get Picked Up: It's a novel written by "I eat tomatoes" (Coiling Dragon, Stellar transformation, Desolate Era, Swallowed Star, etc...). Each one of his novel is a hit because they're good and well written and this one has a 4.1 score. The novel was translated by wuxia translation but they lost their translator several times and there's nobody translating it atm. First time I wrote this post they found a new translator after a month without and that translator only stayed a few weeks and did a few chapters before stopping. Now, it's been 9 weeks and they haven't found a new translator for it Description : It's a martial arts wuxia story where the first volume is situated in the modern world before "being transported" in another world (I prefer to stay vague to not spoil the first volume which is really good). It's not rare to have a back story for reincarnation/world transfer stories but it's really unique to see an author using a whole volume to do so. I was a little reluctant about modern wuxia but I really got into it and almost was sad about the change of scenery lol. IET always write good stories and I am sure all it needs to get as popular as CD or ST is translators.
Good story is questionable, but IET does write ok OP scenarios. Just look at Desolate era and late-stage Stellar Transformation and Coiling Dragon.
Oh, this one looked interesting to Nyanko. Its been on my "To Read Eventually" list for a while now... Still have to get through Duolou Dalu; that novel is deceptively long!
Pretty sure Ren is picking up DE since he's already helping out with that (with IEW's blessing) after he's done with CD, so it's unlikely he'll take on on T9C and on top of that he doesn't like to pick up other translators' work without explicit approval. He made a big post about it and everything.
Am i the only one who want all Doulou dalu's author's novel to be translated? I want his novels get translated than IET.
@BlackHat88 Please reformat your opening post to look like the example here: http://forum.novelupdates.com/threads/example-jin-yong-martial-arts-otherworld-rampage.173/
Just spam everyone to like/follow his work her, and he will do bonus chapters apparently... http://www.wuxiatranslations.com/the-nine-cauldrons-book-2-chapter-26-part-2-things-from-meow/
Bump, it's been forever it has been ages translated. From mid October to mid November they did only one chapter because they lost their translators then they found one who did 6 chapter in 2 weeks (which is good) but then he quit and nothing's been done in 9 weeks so I guess it's ok for someone to take over.
To those who haven't read this - https://www.reddit.com/r/noveltranslations/comments/44rpbu/tl_the_nine_cauldrons_is_it_dropped/ Basically Gravity will be picking it up and re-translating from the start.
So sorry for the thread necromancy, but since there was already a thread I didn't want to make a new one. This Novel posted its last translation on 2/26 with next to no communication from the TL about stopping. I think back in august they said something about moving or starting a new stage in life or going to university, but since mid January then they have not had anything close a regular posting schedule. I love this novel, and the former translator did a wonderful job with the translations aside from schedule. I was hoping that it could get picked up as it is so close to finishing. Anyone else have the same thoughts?
Thanks! Did not see that somehow. Can't wait until the transfer finishes and it can come off of hiatus Edit: Where was this posted? I went back to see how I missed it and it is not on the Volare Announcements. I just want to know so I don't miss important information later and appear mean/ungrateful due to my ignorance.
It was just posted under the TNC category on the site, which it seems is no longer easily accessible due to it soon moving to QI and not being listed on the front page anymore. I don't expect there'll be any more TNC news posted on Volare.
