Title: 肥羊遇狼記 The adorable sheep met the wolf Raw Link: http://www.mozhua.net/read-143731-105551-1.html NU: None Why Should It Get Picked Up: This is best reverse harem. I like mc honestly and adorable personalty. This is funny and sweet polyandry novel. Recommend everyone to read this. Description: This is a world in which the proportion of men and women is seriously out of balance, and it is the woman’s status esteem that bears responsibility for generations. When Yang Mianmian appeared in the wolves, her chubby face and soft temperament let the wolves know that this was a fat and delicious and arbitrarily stupid sheep.
At the beginning of the story, it was cute, especially the interactions between the MC and Bai Jiu (one of the MLs) and I really like how it shows MC using her knowledge of the modern world in the past. It's a fluffy story without being empty fluff. Spoiler But, then it just shows how women can be even worse then men when given power. There's one scene where this princess breaks into a fifty year old birthday banquet to kidnap his son and force him to be her concubine... What kind of world is this? The rule of having to marry by 25 or the government will assign you a spouse makes the world feel like its almost stepping into a dystopia, especially the part where you’ll be imprisoned if you won’t marry. Then, being forced to marry four men by the time you're 30 or once again being imprisoned. Or Bai Jiu's mom, who keeps having children until she's almost at her deathbed in hopes for a daughter. After the first 20% of the novel, the focus of the story degenerates to scheming females, an unlikeable fourth ML, and imperial drama from the older generation. The third and fourth ML seems to like MC because she's not intelligent enough to scheme against them. The relationships between MC, first ML and Bai Jiu seems well developed, but third and fourth ML seem to be add just to increase the number of men. It doesn't seem like she's in love with them. It sucks that the story she goes from a decisive independent modern woman to an someone who's defined by her relationships with the four ML and so wishy-washy. Author, why?! I'm so disappointed. The story starts off so good. I'm also disturbed by the implications of a naturally skewed ratio of men and women. If only one woman is born for every nine men, then on average a woman would have to give birth to ten children just to maintain the population*. Even if she has the freedom to choose who she marries, society is still forced her into becoming a baby making machine or breeding livestock. * This is assuming that women never die during childbirth before they gives birth to daughters, otherwise the remaining women would have to give birth to even more children, which seems more unlikely given the historical setting.
Hello I will be picking up this novel, I will be MTL it with heavy editing this will be my first work. Lots of luck for me
