I am at the 11th arc and there is no romance except for when he is doing his tasks. So no love rivals and no following through worlds.

World 1:
MC becomes the eldest filial son, married to a hard working woman with a mother, father, and twin younger brother and sister, with younger brother wife and 2 sons. The time period seems to be early 1920s China. MC gets head injury and his mother doesn't want to pay for treatment. His wife says use work points to subsidize treatment and they go to the hospital. MC and wife are the family of, they work the most but get treated the worst and fed the least. MC contrives plan so that when he returns to village, he says the Doc said because of weak essence, malnourishment, he and his wife have not had children in 10 years of marriage. Mother gets mad and they have a separation of family.
To be honest, the mother is the most tolerable and reasonable of all the transmigration evil mothers I've ever read about. She did not seek out her eldest son when he made bank. She did not cause him and his wife trouble when her daughter in law tried to cause strife. Her reason for making her eldest son work harder was that her second son died when she prioritized him growing up. When people told her she would regret things, she continued to work hard and kept her self respect. Also her goodwill never dropped to zero for her eldest son. At the end when her husband got cancer and her pampered twins ran away fast from the medical bill, she stood by her husband and wanted to sell the house to support him. Then they both agreed not to seek out their eldest for help and accept the consequences of favoring their ungrateful twins.

1st arc, brother and his wife lost village goodwill and didn't live a good life after consequences caught up with their actions

2nd arc, the son was the end villain and he got reformed and developed a cure for alzheimers

3rd arc, the brother in law and wife were exiled twice, from the clan and then the country. I guess also the unequal treatment of women was also a villain, and for about 2 generations there were great reforms, widows could remarry, female emperor, female college.

4th arc, the main pedophile was tortured and was dealt the same as what he had done to his victims. MC kept torturing him and psychologically tormenting him until he checked into a mental institution. Pedophile ring was exposed and their crimes put them in death row and prison sentences. The MC kept the victims protected and any malicious person doing searches for the victims would be maliciously hacked.

1st arc, the MC treated his wife well and indulged his children, his wife was the stern one

2nd arc, the MC bought his son a Ferrari and this became the son's black point in history

3rd arc, the MC was afraid of his mother cuz she was so fierce. Chased after people with a machete and cursed them out. Also taught his mother to curse elegantly. She once bathed him because he became a mud monkey and he felt dead inside but reasoned she had seen everything of his body anyways.

4th arc, the MC's granddaughter found her mother's diary and read her experiences. The MC had made his daughter learn self defense to protect against bad people and it became a family tradition. It was the only strict thing MC would not bend on. MC's daughter felt that while others longed for a prince, she had a king that taught her how to be a queen. The first chapter had the MC's daughter tell her father that she dreamed she was a fairy that came down from heaven so that her father would never be lonely. In the diary, 8 years after the attempted rape, she had realized what happened to her. She eventually found the monster in the mental institution and he cried that he was wrong and that he was sorry. She had been having nightmares upon the realization and the visit dispelled her fears. Because her father made her world safe again, by doing all he could so that her enemies were defeated and so that she could also defeat them herself.

 

I don’t like mother, She reap what she sow. Reading this arc make me doubt that original host isn’t really her real son. She look like she adopted him.

 

I'm not saying she is likable, I said she is reasonable compared to others in this genre. She accepted the consequences of her actions and she stuck by her word. She felt bitter at times but she knew when she was wrong and at the end, she had an amicable enough relationship with her eldest son and her grandchildren from him.

The other mothers I've read about in this same genre are heinous. I would advocate for a hate group to go after them, they were just that awful. Nobody should ever treat ANY child like what they did. Comparing them to beasts is an insult to animals. They were worse than rabid zombies. So in comparison, the mother in the 1st arc was acceptable to me.

 

5th arc, the MC actually meets the soul he becomes. The soul was the son of the richest man in China but he was a good for nothing pursuing pure love. He wanted to be loved without the trappings of his money and show people that shortcuts don't exist. The MC goes about achieving this by becoming a mathematical genius. He confessed to a girl that was a devoted mathematician and she rejected him by saying that she only admires Riemann. He then pursued her by studying math. They both join the International Math Olympics and get 1st place. The father and mother are hands off with their son, as long as he can love happily. They later get a surrogate to give then a 2nd son to inherit the company since their 1st son wants to do mathematical research.

This arc is when stats and points get shown with areas like language 89/100, math 27/100, english 87/100, physics 35/100, da, da, da. MC brings his math to 5##/1000, his physics in the 4##/500 to solve the Riemann hypothesis. And since that is what internet security relies on, he also proposes his own function to keep the internet safe. Then he proposes to his devoted mathematician, who he's been courting and studying math with since HS. All the while the internet goes gaga over him cuz he is rich but working hard. When comments get to a certain point, his dad sends his well paid lawyers after he keyboard warriors who accuse MC of having his richest dad pay off the whole math community to make MC look good. There was also racism on a Chinese solving the Riemann hypothesis and not some Russian or German person. P.S. the Riemann hypothesis involves prime numbers.

 

Cute moment: the system 001 listened to the MC on how it could be more useful, sent the idea to the main system and now can tutor and time encapsulate the MC in learning things. 001 introduces the stats menu and point distribution to MC and his overall rating was initially average person in the ordinary world. When leaving the world MC evaluation was ultimate genius of the ordinary world.

The MC worked really hard and studied a shit ton, sometimes only sleeping 4-5 hours a day. I approve of his hard work and the system's support. They are both learning well and their character development is progressing nicely.

The MC and the devoted mathematician were an ideal math couple. MC gave the love formula from Descartes to his devoted mathematician while they were in college. It solves into a heart shape. Anytime the devoted mathematician wanted to calm down she would start thinking of solving math problems.

 

Can you spoil arc 2? It seems interesting

 

It's been translated in novel updates. Up to Arc 3. I suggest reading it, there are such funny little details that get missed out on when it's summarized.

 

6th arc: the MC wakes up without the system, tasking, or memories of the original. There is a convo about burning offerings for the departed. MC's original occupant's adopted father just died and he inherited an incense shop. Without memories the MC decides to be a homebody for a while. After he ventures out, that night he gets surprised by a little girl ghost who takes off her head. MC faints. Turns out that his adopted dad did monk work on the side. It's a sponsored gig cuz modern day has a ghost government that has divisions for reincarnation, land management, banking, justice, da, da, da. MC becomes local enforcer to take after his father. But he didn't inherit the usual memory transfer from his predecessor so he has to figure it out. Eventually he gets given a guide book from the ghost government. Since he thinks that he is incompetent, he decides to hug the golden thigh of this badass chick who saves him. She is a reincarnater from the past, with an ultimate yin body that lived on dew and spirits, and came from a matriarchal clan who worshiped ghosts, since yin=women=power. Things happen and ultimate baddy was actually his adopted father who trained him to be a container. Plot twist: his adopted father was actually his bio dad who did all the evil to find his missing son. It was his wife's dying wish and became her ghost grievance.

Cute moments: badass yin chick is badass. She hunts ghosts for the MC cuz she thinks he likes playing with them. The MC is straight up terrified of ghosts and everytime she drops them off to him, like a cat with a bloody kill to their poop scooper official, he screams. She takes that as happy, I'm so excited honey, thanks for getting me that thing I always wanted. MC is an inclusive husband who wonders about his wife's horrible hobby, and badass yin is wondering where else to hunt these becoming rarer ghosts to amuse her husband.

 

7th arc: this is funny. The wish originator is the grandmother. The wish was that the treasured only son would realize how difficult he made his sisters' and cousin's life by overly relying on them and the system's task which was to teach his sisters and cousins that they could be self reliant without primarily depending on a man. MC was supposed to be one of the twin cousins of the only boy in the family. Because he offhandedly said to 001 that the treasured boy would understand female hardships better as a woman, the boy became a twin sister to the cousin he turned into his work horse. MC became the treasured son instead via error.

Funnies: When MC realized that gender could be reassigned, and how he needed to watch his words with 001, otherwise he might also feel the breeze between his legs. Then he felt that better the boy than him. The boy who became a twin girl's first period and had to understand why day or night pads. When he realized he was ugly, cuz he thought he'd be a beauty like his cousin. Everytime it was hammered in that he was an undesirable female cuz he had no family backing, he was ugly, and he had little skills. He had a great moment when he basically told his parents that they can't expect him and his sisters to give towards parents who provided them nothing. Everyone scolded him on the surface but approved his words. MC was proud.
