    According to the summaries of both the novels and the manga on bookwalker.jp, I'm guessing that the manga is currently around volume 9 of the novels. That's more or less in line with the math too.

    The manga is very ahead of the translation, if that's what you meant. But it has 6 novel volumes (roughly 10.5 manga volumes) to go before catching up to the novels.

    Thanks for clarifying. To sum it up, the 15 volumes story-wise is ahead compared to it's manga counterpart. This is by raw, not translation speed.

    Wheel of Time was somewhat successful as far as I know, but they supposedly had a lot of manuscripts and the 2nd one was pretty famous
