I remember playing this on both beta and the updated version, have to pass that annoying 3 bad endings (that time I almost rage quit(lol) just to get hanako good ending in the beta version.
Kamidori is easily the best currently translated visual novel in terms of gameplay. It doesn't really hold up to others in terms of story, and the H-scenes aren't magnificent, even though there's a massive amount of wonderful variety to see in the game, with a wide cast of characters involved. So I'm not sure how it has so many votes here. I want to pick a fight with this list, anyway, because it leaves off tons of great visual novels. Even some of the most popular that exist, like G-Senjou No Maou, are missing. What's up with this? Add it immediately. Also add... Snow Sakura, Princess Waltz, Zanmataisei Demonbane, Kazoku Keikaku, Tears to Tiara, Monmusu Quest... I'm ashamed to say I haven't played Grisaia, yet. From all I hear, though, it should definitely be added to the list. Second to Kamidori in gameplay would probably be Eien no Aselia, but the kiddie version of it was the one they decided to translate, so the H-scenes are out of the game. Even an entire evil route based on shittons of rape is gone. Probably for the best.

While I'm totally cool with us calling a legitimate genre of literature "H games," in your case it's probably good to remember that it IS a legitimate genre of literature, that a lot of your anime is based off of. _ Edit: Genre is such a weird thing to say. It is possible to keep Feena's virginity all the way to the end, but is discouraged because you can get enemy skills from being raped by them.

There's a lot of overlap because a lot of visual novels are both, but they're two separate genres. When comparing it to other types of games, I'd say genre is accurate, format works too. When comparing it to other types of novels/literature, I'd probably use medium.

That has got to be one of the worst visual novels I've ever had the unfortunate chance of coming upon while leaving me rather traumatised with a sense of self-hate for my completionist side. Why weren't any of the major visual novel titles from Nitro+ included like: 鬼哭街 The Cyber Slayer 沙耶の唄 Steins;Gate 07th Expansion's work where? ひぐらしのなく頃に うみねこのなく頃に Then you have Innocent Grey's works: カルタグラ～ツキ狂イノ病～ 殻ノ少女 Akabei Soft2 and all of it's child company titles being absent confused me as well: 暁の護衛 コミュ - 黒い竜と優しい王国 - Devils Devel Concept G線上の魔王 Missed out on rather famous titles like KID's Ever17 -The Out of Infinity-, even minori's ef - a fairy tale of the two., and let's not forget about the title that kicked off Type-Moon's life as one of the major visual novel companies 月姫. No KEY titles was also a surprise considering how fanboy frenzy that company got. Needless to say I wouldn't have voted for any of those anyhow as the drama was too forced without any reason for certain events to happen either way. Heck, the majority of "H games" you have listed are just straight up "nukige"; which are everything sexual related being the primary focus while the story might as well just be non existent. All of the ones which have gameplay as a focus are barely worth mentioning either since that's probably the only good thing Eushully can do, except for in Kamidori's case... Seriously, how do you go about making your main character the most useless unit throughout the entire game? Yes, I have completed the game quite a few times due to the necessity of it to go 100% while clinging onto the slim hope that it would have a somewhat decent story in any of the routes just to be let down in every single one of them. Could likely rant longer but this will do for now.
