I read it and promptly forgot most of it. Not sure why, it didn't excite me very much. ML is some god who wanted to give MC human experiences, but heaven dao schemed against him and something happened. He didn't realize MC was sent to suffer. When he realized, he sent his spirit animal (the nightmare cat) to MC to free him and then got stuck in the worlds without memories. There are two other gods who are his friends (?) that appear in all the worlds and MC gradually realizes they're all the same people. It had a happy end, but I honestly can't remember a thing. It's not bad, but I've read better.

Du Xi is just a common fodder, he doesn’t even know why the people around him treated him so cruelly. DuXi is born to scum parents and has a scum girlfriend. Parents made him drop out after junior high school to support them and his little brother. He gets a job at a construction site and doesn’t complain. Later on he applied for a university and passes the test but rumors spread that he was gay and sponsored by a male lover. His girlfriend even accused him of cheating her out of her feelings. University withdraws his acceptance. He later dies of a drug overdose. ML and MC sit next to each other on the plane but don’t ever talk to each other even though they find the other interesting. After four years, MC is finally returning to country C. He’s the lead chief technology officer of a pharmaceutical company called Gelins. But that’s only on the surface, MC is also the head of YunTian group, which is an underworld group. MC gets to country C, and Adam, MC’s friend who started Gelins and is also slightly in love with MC, informs him that because Gelins have been dominating the market SZ proposes a collaboration that’s very beneficial for Su family group. Adam ordered all of MC’s favorite foods. MC is slightly annoyed at being treated like a girl but doesn’t say anything. He knows Adam is in love with him, and they are such good friends MC wouldn’t have minded trying to be in a relationship with him if they weren’t already destined to separate (because of Adam’s position in his family). MC tells Adam to be careful, even though SZ is nothing but there’s someone behind him lending a hand. MC places guards for Adam 24/7. MC and Adam go to a meeting with SZ and SZ is frightened because MC should have died. SZ asked SR to ask QM to deal with Adam, and also ask his biological parents to intimidate MC. Four years ago, they reported MC missing (because he should have been dead) and now MC is back. Of course they want to grab a hold of MC because MC is rich and useful. Arc 2 – Entertainment Circle Spoiler: “Original Storyline” MC transfers into the body of Zhou XiRan. Zhou XiRan entered the entertainment circle as a child. After a while he was still a third rate movie actor so his managers arranged for him to get “connections”. He got lucky and was sponsored by Wei SiMo who was the richest person in the country. Wei SiMo and him sleep each other like twice a week. Rumor has it that Wei SiMo chose him because he looked a bit similar to Wei SiMo’s first love. Zhou XiRan and Wei SiMo has the “contract” with each other for about two years, until Wei SiMo decide he didn’t want to continue. Zhou XiRan was smart and agreed to leave. End arc 2 (not including extra) Arc 3 – Rebirth Ger Spoiler: “Original Storyline” MC is transferred into Bai Jin Huan. Heaven’s darling is Bai Chen Xiao, Bai JinHuan’s illegitimate half brother. Both of them are Gers. In the first life, BJH is married into the imperial family, and because of his background (his mother is a princess (?) and his older brother is a general) he lived like a fish in water inside the palace. Eventually, BJH became empress while BCX could only marry a fourth rate official. BCX has the advantage of being reborn and using the knowledge of his last life became know as beautiful and smart. BCX goes to a lot of scholar gatherings and meets the crown prince who was on tour. It so happens that the emperor got ill and the country’s affairs are currently being handed by King (?) Eagerly awaiting spoilers. May MTL this too, but my dao is not very good. Can I please know if the MC remains independent and intelligent through the story, or does he become another stupid brainless MC who just vapidly waits for ML to handle the plot for him? /bitter
I’m still on the first arc so I can’t answer that for you yet, but I’ll let you know when I get past a few arcs. That is, if you haven’t already started MTL-ing it yourself.
Spoiler: “arc one extra” Adam eventually married Zhou Sheng, the body guard MC assigned to him. Seeing this ML wants to get married too. MC and ML gets married. ML tattoos something onto MC’s waist. It’s a rune that’s supposed to bind lovers together even to the underworld. MC passes away at age 65. MC returns back to the river of oblivion and gets a large amount of energy from the world. MC has to go to sleep for hundreds of years because he cannot deal with the pain of being separated from ML. JingTian tells MC that the energy they got from the world was more than usual. It’s a possibility it had something to do with ML but JingTian doesn’t say that because it is afraid MC will be sad. JingTian tells MC that ML lived until 90 and had his subordinate bury him with MC after he died. MC heads off to the next world.
Okay so far, this novel gives me a lot of Quickly Wear the Face of the Devil vibes, which I love a lot. It’s a bit different from QWFOD, since ML and MC’s best friend follow him into every world, but MC doesn’t know yet. As of the second arc, MC doesn’t seem to just rely on ML. I won’t be able to confirm for the later arcs. But if it continues like this, MC should not be the type to rely on ML. Especially, since in the first arc, even when MC has ML, he wanted to get revenge himself.
Spoiler: “arc two extra” ML is worried that he is not worthy of MC and that MC would change his mind about being together. MC and ML get married. GX is a close friend to MC, and ML eats a lot of vinegar because of it. GX says ML should worry more about MC and CY’s and LF’s friendship because they are MC’s online ship couples. Especially MC and LF. Sure enough LF can feel ML’s hostility. LF thinks... that he hasn’t offended GX why would GX throw him under the bus like that... CY courts GX and chases him for three years before they end up together also. MC is sure that WSM and QM are the same person because they give him the same feeling. JT tells MC that ML isn’t loyal to him, because WSM had two marriages and a son in the life. MC says it’s not fair for ML because ML has no recollection in his reincarnations... but still manages to choose MC every time. However, MC does have a bottom line. If ML has a wife in his reincarnations MC does not need him. Hearing this JT is very happy.
Just few word, after reading 3 chapter. I know why this novel did not feels special. Cos the author move the story to quickly, so it feels like fast forward version of FOTD
