i've only been following the LCD threads for 2 months and now i know y all the spoiler sections are so dead lol

 

I thought the spoiler sections are dead cause the books been finished for years and everything that can be spoiled has been spoiled.. lol

 

DE is bad.

MGA is 1000x worse. Big part of the reason why I dropped it.

Ning would certainly woop his ars, but probably not immediately because "hostages" makes for a great plot armor.

 

To me.. he’s just a hegemon version of Silksnow :/

 

Winterflame may be bereft of any morals but honestly speaking, choosing such a shameless road could be quite effective. He received some information about what transpired between Ji Ning and Silksnow in the Jadefire realm and just from that alone he's already got a handle on what kind of character Ji Ning is and what could be the best way to deal with Ji Ning, as far as all the Hegemons are concerned Ji Ning is just stuck in the Jadefire realm hiding out his last days. But if it does turn out that Ji Ning left behind some sort of protection for his friends back at Vasthaven then that'd be some good writing by IET.

 

Ji Ning has always warned Vastheaven and everyone he knows to hide whenever he is in serious trouble and people may go find them because of him.
Everytime he has done this if he was able.
If Ji Ning didn't do it this time that would be very poor writing by IET and would be forcing a situation way too much.

Being shameless and all is great but only until you are still growing in power. When you have an endless life, your standards and morals do change.

 

I agree but being shameless is one thing and being evil is another. Although it hard to distinguish between the 2 lol

At this point we should realize just because you are powerful doesn't mean you won't be shameless. If they were shameless as world gods and shameless as daolords they aren't going to suddenly change with they become eternal emperors/archons/hegemon. Look at Ning, the story is always telling how he stays true to his daoheart and never changes. Honestly considering the ship was suppose to be enough to make hegemons go wild for it I'm surprise there wasn't more that decided to be like Winterflame.

 

when does this story slow the fuck down, i'm 50 chapters in and i feel like the plot is trying to hyper speed it's way to something interesting but i just don't feel it

 

What are you talking about?
The first 6 or 7 books ji ning is like 16-17 years old at most.. 50 chapters in should be 2 or 3 books in and he’s like 10 years old at the time.. how’s it going at hyper speed?
