I understand your feelings too. I want to slap them across the face all of them.
I like the story, for a change a male transmigrator more spoiler please
It's so fresh when a romance story is written from ML's POV.
Sometimes, stories of regret like this don't need 2nd ML and not all stories have to be made where FL chooses another guy
Any spoilers on the FL sister? Was she also abused?
Spoiler: Ch 10
Leon couldn't sleep and tossed and turned on the bed for a long time. He sits up, crosses his arms, and thinks about why he was so indifferent to the Empress. It was a question that was stuck in his heart for days. He met her once as a child, when he grew up, and when they officially held engagement ceremony when FL was a full-fledged adult. He recalled his impression of her which was like a fine, elaborate doll. To him, it was creepy to see Elizabeth perform perfectly with a beautiful smile like a picture without anyone telling her to do anything. Every time Leon met her, that faint but creepy well-made doll like feeling grew darker and clearer. It gave him goosebumps and he was constantly reluctant to her, so she became an Empress who was ignored by him terribly.
Leon did not come to a conclusion and hit his head on the pillow. The clock won't move unless you wind it up, but it's on its own so you don't have to take care of it. You wonder where the perfection came from and you're not going to be able to satisfy the Duke, but you're ignoring it because you're reluctant to do it for the rest of you're life? He hits his head on the pillow again and decides to dedicate his whole body and life to live only for Elizabeth's happiness. First, he wants to get rid of Elizabeth's high-heeled shoes and loosen the corset. He wanted her who was only an eight year old child to run around the flower garden as she wanted, be loved by everyone, and grow up to be a child who can even give love to a small sprout.
The Duke of Elysium is rumored to have mixed blood of an angel and was such a historic family that was the first to produce a member to become the Empress of the Imperial Family. Although the Duke of Elysium was slightly different from Leon's memory, he was still blinded by power and self-interest. They were trying to make their daughter the Empress again. Elizabeth is a perfect Empress, a doll who can silently do what she has to do as an Empress even if she is ignored and used to get involved in politics through her. Leon clenches his first and never wanted that to happen, so he comes up with a plan that a 10 year old Prince is able to do.
Elizabeth was looking at Leon's letter which arrived in the late evening. There was many difficult words and also misspelled words. She asks her mother what [Are you relieved?] [with your love] meant and Duchess Elysium said it was a polite express used to ask how the other person is doing. The Crown Prince seemed to care for Elizabeth a lot but she should not be conceited. There were many beautiful women like flowers and Elizabeth was just the prettiest flower among them. Flowers wither away and it's not strange to find another one so Elizabeth should never be conceited and lower herself. The Duchess raised her voiced, forgetting that Elizabeth was still to young to talk about matters between men and women. Throughout the night, Elizabeth thinks about what to write.

Elizabeth's day begin with the Imperial routine. When the Emperor opens his eyes, she also opens her eyes. When the Empress gets dressed, she also tightens her corset and dresses. She was always alone during breakfast and during this time, the Duke and Duchess relaxed and oversleep. Just as she finished dressing, a carriage from the Imperial family arrived. Since the Duke was still asleep and the guest could not be left unattended, Elizabeth had to buy time for her parents. She bows deeply in accordance with etiquette and greeted them. She heard a low, think voice and was frightened and took a step back. The lady standing next to the man slightly scolded him for scaring her. Then, she heard Leon ask if she slept well and she was shocked to hear that voice she missed every night in her dream. She slipped on her high heels, but Leon caught her before she fell and asks if she was alright.
The Duke came running down the stairs with his loosened Kravat and the Duchess also appeared with her hair barely half up. Elizabeth's eyes widened because her mother who had always been a perfect, neat, and elegant lady had such a look. Then, she suddenly turned blue when she realized that her parents called out Empress and that Leon was also there. Eventually, she faints before her future in-laws, the Emperor and Empress.

Isidore Aurum von Espedor, who was in the arms of Empress Freya Yavanna von Espedor, answered as usual "Five more minutes..." to a servant who called his name urgently. The servant kept calling out to the Emperor and saying that the Prince asked for an audience. The Emperor says that he's making the Prince a brother and is busy so no. This happened every morning but today was different. The Crown Prince, who had been rushing to the main palace since dawn, asked for the Emperor's presence. The servant had to somehow prevent inappropriate sounds from being heard inside the door to a young child. Leon keeps saying to open the door and that there won't be another baby born between them anyway. He began to rage, thinking how many times has he witnessed the golden sight of his father and mother unintentionally? Damn, why are you guys disappearing into the garden at your son's birthday party?
The door opens and the Emperor comes out wearing only a silk robe, asking Leon doesn't he want a brother? Leon says to make it tomorrow and goes in without permission.
"In the name of the Emperor, the Crown Prince must go and do what he has to do."
"I object that order, in the name of the Empress. Leon, come on in!"
"Oh, my god! Frey."
Leon runs past his father and goes to hug his mother. She asks Leon what was wrong and if he had a nightmare. Leon shakes his head and smiles broadly. The Empress laughs at his cuteness and was worried because recently Leon had become more mature and wondered if it was early puberty. The Emperor scratches his head at the scene and approaches them to listen closely. Leon tells them to save his wife and the Emperor and Empress looked at each other and blinked. They wonder if their son, who was not usually cute, eat something wrong the day before. After listening to Leon's explanation, they jumped out of bed and got ready to head out to the Duke of Elysium. The Empress orders the servants to get her most gorgeous dress and jewels. "How dare you...my daughter-in-law...that's how you were educating her...?" Leon carefully left the bedroom with a satisfied look on his face. As expected, his mother was the best.

The Duke and Duchess were talking deeply with the Imperial couple. When Elizabeth opened her eyes, she was surprised to see Leon next to her. She was lying down on her pillow as if she was falling because she was wearing a pajama, not a heavy dress and high-heeled shoes. However, Leon held her hand tightly and asked if she was ok or if she was sick, and that she didn't look well, and did the Duchess hit her again. He sighs and pulls the chair closer to her. She was surprised and pulled the blanket closer to the tip of her nose. He held her silver hair in his hand as if he was playing with it and causally said that she needed to get married and to have an engagement today so that she can live with him as his official fiancée. "My love, I'm just a humble sinner who doesn't deserve your love, but if you allow me to be merciful and love you..." "Your Royal Highness. I'm sorry, but...It's so hard to say." Leon sighed again. "Can I love you?" The Duchess' maid, who was just bringing in light refreshments, thought that at the age of 10 and 8, this was not something that children who are still in love, let alone feeling about love, would say.
I'll post more chapters once I have more time. Leon's parents are the best they finally know FL's situation and will take her away from that sh*tty family.
Thank you so muchh! May i ask did ML love FL in previous life? And about the current time line is everything he doing is because of love Or it’s his guilt and pity toward her?
Thanksss so muchh for the spoilerss, HORRAYY FOR GREAAT PARENTS
No, ML did not love FL in his previous life. He was not interested in her so he was indifferent to her. Once ML read her diary and found out a lot of things about her, he admits that his actions were wrong so he wants to make it up to her in the 2nd life. I’m sure he feels guilty but, he is sincere. Once he gets to actually know her personally, he finds her cute and lovely and vows to make her happy. By Ch 10 and so on, he is quite smitten and is falling for her.
Ahhh i see, thank you so much
this is hilarious and soooo cute!!!!
"dont you want a baby brother?"
"... nah, do it later"
wohooo, +1 for you Leon, go save your princess!
how did the royals accepted the scum duke's proposal about their child marriage?? what tricks this bastard pulled off? hmm...
I hope you bring update every time until at least the FL really out from the house and can stand by her own feet to oppose a full grown up pig that somehow similiar to human
Really liked it so far. ML's parents are the best, especially the mother "I object to that order as the Empress"
Sooo the tl manhwa version was dropped because the author found out about it, does anyone have more spoilers to share?
Is the emperor an actual psychopath then?
No matter how indifferent someone is, to not even blink an eye when another person suddenly dropped to her death at your feet is absolutely abnormal, and there is nothing to justify his lack of reaction.
It's not in human nature to completely detach from that kind of situation without being involved in some sort of major trauma. How do we explain a man who grew up with loving parents and content childhood to be this emotionless. And we are not talking about a stranger, his wife who he has been married to for years just drop dead, how likely is it to not even react? His affect was completely flat. This is not normal.
And I don't even think it's a good thing that he was so indifferent. Hate itself is not the opposite of love, but indifference. Turning hatred into love is more believable than indifference to love. At least there is already some sort of emotion at play. To turn ML from not feeling anything at all toward FL to competely devoting his life to ensure her happiness made absolute no sense, and it was done by reading a single diary at that.
There must be something else at play behind the scene, he was either cursed to not feel anything for her at all or was born a psychopath to which he simply lacks the capacity to love and to be empathetic with other human beings.
Seems to me like the author just flip his personality and motivation around because she could without proper explanation behind the actual reason why he completely detached himself, emotionally, from the FL.
Emperor | Empress
Duke | Duchess
Leon | Liz
Sometimes I can't tell who's talking so some parts might be colored coded wrong, but maybe only a few.
Elysium was the 'descendants of angels' and the first Empress was the daughter of Elysium. For this reason, Elysium always makes excuses so that their daughters would sit on the Empress seat so they will have connections and benefits with being related to the Imperial family. The Imperial couple go to the Elysium mansion and talk with the Duke and Duchess with the purpose of taking Elizabeth to the Imperial palace to receive education from the Imperial family. However, the Duke and Duchess are worried because Elizabeth's skin has not healed from being beaten with a cane a few days ago. They try to protest and the Duke and Duchess put on an act of being caring parents and being distraught because the Imperial couple were going to separate them from their daughter at such a young age. The Imperial couple are speechless at this. Before heading to the parlor, Leon and Liz were talking. He asks her what she wanted to do, but Liz was reluctant to decide for herself. However, Leon assures her that she can do what she wants. Eventually, Liz says she wants to be with Leon after he suggested breaking off their engagement which she didn't want. They go into the parlor and Leon tells them to ask Liz themselves. Being faced with the adults, Liz hyperventilates and Leon calms her down and she clings to him. Liz says she wants to rest and Leon apologizes to them for his stubbornness and carelessness. The Empress tells them to go out for a moment because the adults have to talk. Leon and Liz leave and go to her room. While Liz is asleep, Leon holds her hand, saying he was sorry and begs her to choose him and allow him to atone for her and the right to love her. The Empress makes her stance clear to the Duke and Duchess that she is adamant about speeding up Leon and Liz's engagement and taking charge of Liz's education and also prohibits them from any public or private meeting with Liz unless she takes the initiative to find them. The Imperial couple doesn't give them the chance to object and promptly resolves the matter and leaves the parlor. They go to Liz's room to find them sleeping and has the maids carefully take them to the carriage while the Empress packs Liz's things. After the Imperial couple left the mansion, the Duke and Duchess as agonizing over what happened and the humiliation they faced.
Back at the carriage, the Empress and Liz are asleep. Leon and the Emperor have a father-son talk.
Spoiler: Ch 11
Elysium was 'the descendants of angels.' Externally, the names of the ancestors recorded in the genealogy were consistent with those of the angels who stayed on the ground until the end of the Bible, but it was just a rough fitting excuse for a 10 year old prince to snort. However, it was beautiful evidence that the silver hair, like the Milky Way that came down from generations to generations of the family, and the skylight eyes, such as the noon sky facing the horizon, were called angels. Starting with the first empress of the Empire, the aristocracy's genealogy, which was noble and historic, had different roots, but there was one thing in common, the names of the young children who had Elysium's name written somewhere in the genealogy. Elysium packed their daughters and pushed them to the wedding hall, citing reasons such as "the first empress," "Descendants of Angels," and "No one of the high nobles has not been connected." It was the power and wealth that gained. Naturally, at some point, the Elysium Dukes began to wonder how to make their daughter a more beautiful and perfect bride, instead of defending the emperor in the imperial palace, for example, or opposing political factions. The Duke of Elysium was one of those men. One difference from the Duke of Elysium was that he was unusually ambitious about politics. His marriage between the imperial family was also the basis for entering politics in earnest and as a final shield in case something unexpected happened. To do so, he had to face the emperor with a smile all day. No matter how much his daughter became empress in the future or how his son-in-law was emperor, the duke was just a shadow under the clouds in front of the imperial family. Understanding that pint fully, the Duke of Elysium had been looking at politics little by little so as to not intrude on the view of the ruler. But the ruler of the matter visits the mansion himself this early in the morning? He had never heard of this before and began to speculate on why the Emperor had come all the way there.
The Emperor waves his hand and tells the Duke to go put his pants back on. Only then did the Duke realize that he was wearing his pants backwards and blushed. The Emperor says that Elizabeth had welcomed them in perfect form in the early morning and aren't children mirrors of their parents? Why do you, the parents, look like that? The Emperor's bone-in comment rebuked the Duke and he was ashamed. The Duke and Duchess guided the Imperial couple to the parlor and went back to their room. The Elysium mansion welcomed them with its elegant appearance, like a unique temple. However, as beautiful as the goddess's temple, the house turned cold as a stone tomb when they crossed the threshold.
The Emperor didn't expect this much when Leon had come to them asking for a favor. While he was in deep thought, the butler tried to fill the empty glass, but the Emperor said in a languid manner as he leaned against the cushion as if it were his house, for the butler to go help his master. The butler flinched and hurriedly ran to the Duke and Duchess's room.
Meanwhile, the Duchess was stomping her feet in front of her most spectacular dress. She tightened the corset hard, but the dress simply didn't fit her. The Duchess made a desperate excuse saying, she used her brain so much to teach Elizabeth that she had to soothe her stomach with something sweet all the time (my god, this bi*ch blaming everything on Liz...). It was unacceptable for her to be in front of the Emperor and Empress in an indoor dress or a second-hand dress. Eventually, the Duke rolled up his sleeves and put his foot on the Duchess' waist saying to breathe more as he tightened the corset for her. Seeing the veins stand clearly on the Duke's arms, the maids turned their faces sideways as if they were embarrassed. The Duchess, who managed to wear the dress thanks to her husband's help, chased the Duke back to the parlor.
It was obviously the reception room of the Elysium mansion, but at the word of the Emperor, the reception room turned into a more difficult and cold sweaty lace that the imperial palace hall, where ministers lined up on both sides. The Duchess gasped (don't gasp, you're not a dog *refer to Ch 7) when the Empress said that she had something to tell her and was wondering why. Taking the Empress to another drawing room, the Duchess bitterly regretted that she wore high-heeled shoes that no one would see because she was covered in a long dress anyway. The Empress says she heard directly from the Crown Prince that she was educating her daughter-in-law very well. The Empress tried to suppress her expression as she saw a proud smile that could not be hidden from the Duchess's face. She thought that even animals in the circus don't get educated like that. She couldn't believe something terrible was happening in the Elysium mansion, to a future imperial family.
The Duchess said that she was flattered and that Elizabeth was still a child who lacks learning and what would an 8 year old know? The Empress smiled benevolently and looked directly at the Duchess's face. It was the queen's smile that anyone could praise as a gentle and silky character, but the Duchess felt that the smile was colder than winter wind in the north. The Empress says that the Crown Prince still stands out at a young age, he can lie down in the hallway of the palace or be sulky all day. In the past, it even seemed cute and lovely...but, the Empress intentionally blurted out to the Duchess, "Looking at the spirit, I think you must have enjoyed such a lovely moment for a while" (um idk about this part, I think she's referring to the Duchess's previously disorderly state earlier bc their obsessed w/ being perfect and all & how their educating Liz so while she greeted them perfectly, why wasn't the parents like that? EDIT: Actually, I think she’s comparing Liz and Leon. Like why does the Crown Prince, who will become Emperor and rule an empire, not have such a harsh and strict education like Liz? He can even laze around if he wanted to, so why isn’t Liz who is younger than Leon, not like that? I think this makes more sense). The Duchess wasn't sure about what the Empress meant and her thought began to shake like a storm inside her head. The Empress who was still staring at the Duchess with a smile on her face, said it was nothing and that she was proud and grateful to be the future mother-in-law. The Empress says that the Duchess still looks highly at Idolade, who is a wild tomboy, how could she thank her? The Duchess said that it was an honor. The Empress says that she grew up to be great. If it were her, she would have pulled out her father's mustache and escaped! The Empress, who had such a personality as a child, tried to stay calm and brought up the main point. Elizabeth's education reminded her of the Duchess of Elysium and that she was going to raise Elizabeth in the palace.
* * *
The Emperor was also having a similar conversation with the Duke of Elysium. They were going to raise Elizabeth in the palace. Since she will be the Crown Princess one day, she should go to the imperial household. The Emperor asks the Duke if there was a problem with moving things up a bit. The Duke was thinking about how his cane had broken his daughter's bone. Just a few days ago, he was trapped in the study, disgusted by the cries of his daughter, who was being whipped (srsly fu*k these sorry excuse of parents). No matter how quickly a child's skin gets healed, no matter how good the medicine is, it will take quite a long time to completely disappear! Instead of protesting against the Emperor, the Duke mumbled calmly and thought that he should stay calm. If his daughter enters the Imperial family early, they would be able to visit the Imperial palace more often under the pretext of seeing their daughter, and then they will be able to build a closer relationship with many people. This was a chance! (lmao nah, ur sorry ass is busted, they ain't gonna let the trash in). The Emperor huddled like a big old mouse and clicked his tongue at the Duke, who could see clearly what he was thinking on his face. That's an angel's descendant? The devil passing by was laughing. Even the blood of the first Empress, who was running somewhere is his (it said her but sometimes MTL switches them and I don't think her would make sense in this?) body, was disgusting.
The Duke says he understand what the Emperor means, but since Liz is their only daughter, wouldn't her mother's thoughts matter more than anything? After consulting his wife enough...The Empress's knocks interrupts him and asks if they're done talking. He thought that his wife, who filled him in on what happened, was out of her mind. The Duke felt his head turn white at his wife's whisper. No matter how much he thought about it, there was no reason for the Imperial couple to act so suddenly. Then he thought of the Crown Prince. His face turned muddy as he recalled the first day the Prince met his daughter and what the Prince had done at the mansion since his engagement was confirmed as an official document. The Empress says that she heard from Leon that Liz is very keen on Empress class, but she thinks it might be better to learn imperial etiquette from the Imperial family and asked what they thought. The Emperor says he was hoping to bring the children of his peers to the Imperial family, who would otherwise be friends with Leon. Why don't we call some young boys who might be Liz's friends, Empress? She thoughts this was a good idea and that the Imperial family must be filled with laughter for the first time in a long time. The Emperor leaned towards the Empress with a light smile, just like a big hound that was complimented. With a big smile, the Empress held the Emperor's hands tightly, and repeated it as if she was nailing the Ducal couple, who were still unable to come to their senses. "Where is an educational place as appropriate as the Imperial palace for a child who will be the Empress?" They try to say at least until after spring because Liz was still weak, but the Empress says that was it incurable? the palace was full of doctors who could cure incurable diseases. The Duke and Duchess were worried about how to hide their daughter's whip marks. "It's natural to guarantee empress classes and early social debuts only available to the imperial family, and why would you hesitate to guarantee the outcome of her childhood friendship with her husband?" "Your Majesty, it was after we became adults." "The Empress was like that, but it wasn't until her coming of age ceremony. I can still see, the empress who was riding the biggest stallion in the field at that time was like ···." "Are you trying to take an eight-year-old child away from his parents' arms?" Surprised, instead of trying to recall their own memories, the emperor and empress turned to the Duchess again at the high scream. The Duchess waited on her knees because her feet hurt so much that she couldn't walk, so she grabbed the queen's clothes and began to cry. She put on a corset and made a loud noise, and felt like she was about to lose her breath. "She is only eight years old now. Are you trying to separate the child who deserves to be still in her mother's arms? How can you be so bloodless and cold-hearted?"
If Leon saw this, he would immediately hit his forehead on the table and regret it again. "Duchess Elysium! Calm down, calm down! Your dress is about to rip open!" The Empress swallowed her back and looked up at the Emperor in embarrassment to recover from the sudden reversal. The Emperor's eyes were shaking as if he hadn't expected this situation. The Duke of Elysium was a man who knew the moment to strike and fall and now was the time to fight desperately. The Duke also folded his back like a book in front of the Emperor and laughed with tears. There was a murmur at the waist, but now it was more important to pass safely without being caught that the body of the future Empress was full of wounds. "Your Majesty! Please consider this matter! She is my only daughter. The thought of the child, who is still young, living in an imperial palace with no mother or father, makes this old body's heart ache as if it were tearing!" "Empress, please. Please I beg you. Please reconsider your thoughts. I am a human being who cannot live without Elizabeth. Elizabeth also said, "If you don't say good night to me, I won't be able to fall asleep." Why would you take her?" The Emperor and Empress looked at each other with embarrassing faces. A polite, steady knock heard and four people's eyes turned to the door at the same time.
"Come in." The Emperor forgot who the landlord was and allowed a stranger to visit. The Duke of Elysium alternately looked at the Emperor and the door with an absurd look, raising his wife, who was almost about to tear the dress, which could not stand with a corset. But the door was already open. "Isolde!" "Leonhardt!" Beyond the door stood a young boy with a perplexed a stubborn look on his face. Silver hair was revealed behind the boy's back. "Then why don't you ask Lizzie yourself? Why don't adults know such a simple thing?" "Prince! Your Majesty's is present. Watch what you say and do," the Empress warned Leonhard with a stern look. Leon poked his lips out and held Elizabeth's hand behind his back and led her in front of him. He said with a very serious look in front of Elizabeth, who was almost out of breath again. "Lizzie, why don't you live with me?"
Spoiler: Ch 12
Elizabeth was afraid. Leon, who was walking down the stairs holding her hand with a very angry look on his face, was scared. Leon's daily routine, which used to flow normally when he was doing what his parents told him to do, was breaking one by one at the tip of his little finger. "Lizzie?" Instead of following Leon down the stairs, Elizabeth sank into her seat. I learned how to behave in front of the Emperor and Empress, what words to use, but no one taught me how to pronounce the tickling sensation under my tongue. Leon, who had been down about three steps earlier, returned to her side. Elizabeth's shoulders were shaking like a wanderer in the rain, not in the late summer. "What's wrong? Are you okay?" Leon, Leon, Leon. Elizabeth tried to hold Leon's hand, but wondered if it was good to do as a lady. Leon held her white crab-weary hand tightly as she flinched in the air repeatedly. "Shall we go back to the room? Lizzie, I won't do it if you don't like it." The prince was trying to take her to the drawing room. Elizabeth learned that the words of the crown prince must be obeyed. So I had to shake my head and followed the will of the Prince submissively and meekly. "Elizabeth ··."
However, the mouth barely opened enough to fit a piece of candy only made a horrible noise. I can't show up to the Emperor in this way. What if the Empress was disappointed by my appearance and decided not to engage Leon? But shouldn't we listen to Leon, the Crown Prince, before we go into the parlor? Uh, what should I do? Leonhardt shouted to the ladies who were stamping their feet on the stairs to get something Elizabeth could cover. The steps of the maids, who had been watching with a sad and pitiful look, became busy. "It's all right, Lizzy. No one's going to hurt you. You can do what you want. You can go back to your room or go down to the drawing room with me. If you don't like it either, ··." "What should I do at times like this?" The blue brush under the morning sun in spring smelled warm. However, Elizabeth's brush is now as dim as a mop that is half frozen in the winter sleet. "You choose. Lizzie, it's your life." "My life is ··." Elizabeth looked up at Leonhardt with a desperate face like a believer who wanted salvation from God. He still had a sad look on his face. "Leon, are you sad?" "No, Lizzie. I'm worried about you now. Of course it's sad, but ··· I can cancel my engagement with you if you want me to ····." "No!"
At Elizabeth's scream, not only the maids but also Leon flinched his shoulders. Elizabeth grabbed Leon and began to shake his body and cling to him like a believer who heard that the world was ending. "No, I don't like that. I want to be with Leon. I, I, ··!" "Lizzie." Leon pat Elizabeth on the shoulder and carefully leaned his forehead against her shoulder. "Do you want to be with me?" "Yes, yes··!" "Then let's go to the drawing room." Leonhardt once again soothed Elizabeth, even though he was wary of her being sensitive again. His young fiancée has lived without even knowing how to express her feelings. I felt like my stomach was squeezing because I couldn't feel my stomach. The more he learned of her past, the more he could not forgive his future self, which has become the past. Seeing Elizabeth slowly coming down the stairs holding his hand, Leon managed to endure the tingling of his nose. A child's body is so sensitive that it is too sensitive to other people's feelings. As the door of the drawing room neared, the noise beyond the door became louder and louder. Elizabeth, who was close to her, was hiding herself by clinging to his back. If she wanted, he wanted to bring the strongest magic barrier in the palace and surround her right away.
Leonhardt ordered the butler of the Elysium family, with a small 10-year-old, subtle status as the crown prince, and his willingness to protect his companion more solidly than the magic barrier. "Open the door." The butler was in conflict. The conversation between the doors of the reception room now was so embarrassing to hear from an adult that it was almost a blatant play. "Should I open this door for you now?" "Open it. Since when does Elysium's deacon have to say twice to understand?" The butler just broke into a cold sweat, alternating between Elizabeth and Leon, who rebuked him, ordering him to open the door in an obvious manner as if it were his own house. Is it genetic to say the same thing without making a mistake? "May I open the door, Lady?" However much he had to turn away from her at the command of the Lord, he was also one of the people who was happier than anyone else when Elizabeth was born. The butler's knees were boiling and his eyes met with Elizabeth for the first time in years. Even if the Crown Prince brought the Imperial Guard, the owner of this house was Elysium. And now his master was Elizabeth, not Leon. Elizabeth was still confused and barely standing in a precarious position as if she was about to move back. The well-polished silver hair fluttering in the air seemed like her half-dead soul, so the butler stopped trying to reach out and paused. "·········· Door···open it", Elizabeth said, hiding behind Leon's back again. When she was hit by her father's cane, the butler, who had not changed his expression, suddenly boiled his knees and made eye contact. The face full of wrinkles did not resemble Leon at all, but I could only see that he was sad looking at himself. I didn't want anyone to be sad because of me. Elizabeth knew how pretty Leon was when he smiled. 'The butler may lose some wrinkles if he smiles.' "Okay." The butler raised himself again. Was she this small? As his knees boiled, he was shocked silently. At the same time, I was amazed that the color of her eyes was the skylight of the highest and clearest day he had ever seen. And finally, "Don't be sad. Because of me ···." The butler had to experience the heart falling under his feet and jumping back to the top of his head. At that moment, the butler decided. I will protect you from the master and his wife no matter what. Why did he now know what anyone can know even if he is not a deacon who has been watching the Gaju for decades? They have been making unforgivable mistakes for the past eight years. Behind the polite and steady knock was a low and dignified voice that played a role in knocking Elizabeth out. Leon held Elizabeth's hand tightly as if he was relieved to feel her embarrassment.
"Come in," the door opened. Leonhardt, who roughly figured out what was going on beyond the door while the butler asked Elizabeth for permission, replaced the greeting with the most twisted way a 10-year-old boy could speak. "Then why don't you ask Lizzie yourself? Why don't adults know such a simple thing?" "Prince! Your Majesty's presence. Watch what you say and do." Leon poked his lips. A mother was seen sighing and touching her forehead at her son, who did not seem to show any signs of remorse. Leon, who unintentionally put a nail in his mother's heart, ignored the voice of his heart, which was poked by Elizabeth's efforts to be more urgent now. "Lizzie, why don't you live with me?" And I drew Elizabeth behind my back and made my knees boil in front of her. The Emperor, the Empress, and the Crown Prince, as well as the Duke and Duchess. I knew how much harder it would be for her, who was already sensitive, to go to the palace, but he still had to. To control the poison, a stronger poison was needed.

Elizabeth was afraid. 'Shouldn't we say hello to the Emperor first? How should I address the Empress? What's the etiquette of the palace? Why did Leon boil his knees to me?' Every day, with a popping sound like a flower, his small, soft hair, which was not enough to turn white with a grin, was ripening. It was scary.
The eyes focused on her grew as large as the eyes of a monster, and ten to twenty, forty, and eventually, eyes appeared to watch her in every pattern on the wallpaper. In the presence of such eyes, Leon asks me if I would live with him. The unpleasant, sticky, and clumpy lumps that did not disappear even after taking medicine were melted into tears one by one and were disappearing. Elizabeth emptied all her breathless, sobbing, confused feelings, unknown emotions, and even her heart that had been poking up. I couldn't figure out what was what. Why do you want me to choose? Are you asking me? Mother, what should I do? This never happened. I always had to do what I was told to do what I was told. Is this an empress class? What would you do when this is a great lady? I don't know, Leon. Help me, help me. Huh? "Lizzie, Elizabeth. Calm down, calm down." Huh? "Have a drink of water ··· Okay." Here I am. Leon. Leon. Leon. ··· me. What should I do? ····In times like this, you can do whatever you want to do. What do you want to do with Lizzie? I don't know. I don't know that. I·············· "Calm down,····· Let's breathe first! Breathe in, breathe out, breathe in ··· Good girl···." The nauseating sensation from deep inside the stomach tapped the roof of my mouth. Elizabeth threw up all the feelings in Leon's arms without knowing what they were.
She desperately grabbed Leon's hem and clung to him. she closed her eyes tightly and breathed in and out slowly as he said. Then, the eyes that were stuck on the wallpaper began to disappear one by one. I couldn't think of anything. If it were usual, she would have been worried about her unbecoming lady-like behavior or her father holding a cane, but now she didn't even have the power to lift a finger. "I want to rest." Embracing Elizabeth, who had completely released her strength, Leon politely bowed to the adults in the room. "Father, Mother. And the Duke of Elysium. I apologize for coming to you early in the morning without contacting you. Lizzy is more embarrassed than I thought because of my sudden stubbornness. I was careless." "No, sir. No, my Crown Prince. Rather, we, Isolde···." "Lizzie has done nothing wrong!" "Prince, I told you it was before you." "...I'm sorry, Mother. But there's really nothing wrong with her. If you want to reprimand me, blame me." "Well, yes. What is the deacon doing without sending Lizzie back to her room?" the Duchess screamed. When the butler tried to enter the drawing room belatedly, Leon hugged Elizabeth. Of course, at the next moment, Elizabeth had to be handed over to a more powerful and dependable adult, but Leon stood still in his seat for a long time even after the sound of the butler's footsteps went all the way up the stairs. Was the child so small and light?
Apparently on the day she went shopping for shoes, the craftsman said she was of a very average build, but Elizabeth, who had been in his arms until a while ago, seemed too small, light and as vain as the first snow. "Leon. Can you go out for a moment because there's a story that adults have to tell?" "...Yes, ma'am." The Queen's voice sank uncharacteristically low. Leon, who knows what happens when his mother opens her mouth in that way, calmly stepped out of the parlor.

The Duke of Elysium's stairs were covered with a fluffy carpet. But she had to wear those high shoes, which must have been painful as if she were walking on a blade. 'Lizzie.' Her room was full of white and blue things. When I first saw this room, I started to think that it should be created a little in a desolate atmosphere like a hospital room. However, in his own words, this pure white room would also erase Elizabeth's existence until the room was burned. Leon, "Isolde," took one step at a time, carefully, in case she laid it down. She would walk one step behind him every moment, looking at his eyes without even making a sound of footsteps like a shadow. 'My Empress.'
Leon, who had only just fallen asleep again, gently put his knees on the carpet to prevent Elizabeth from waking up, touched the tip of her finger. Elizabeth was flinching, but still breathing out the color and heat. Even if I put Mr. Dandelion Hall in front of my small but sharp nose, can I scatter Mr. Hall into the air with that breath? It was such a soft breath that I was worried about. Holding her hand like a holy object, Leon begged and begged. "Sorry, I'm sorry, Empress. I'm sorry. Please choose me. Give me a second chance. So that you won't do the same stupid thing, so that you'll be happy. Please allow me that qualification. I will return the long time that you took away because of me. If I am sure that you will be happy even if I die tomorrow, I will walk toward hell on my own. So Elizabeth, allow me the opportunity to atone for you, the right to love."
Spoiler: Ch 13
It was a breathtaking silence for Leon and Elizabeth to come to the drawing room after returning. The Duke and Duchess of Elysium had nothing to hide. An eight-year-old child, who was only eight years old, was speechless because there were so many words following him. The Empress cleared her throat. “If you have something to say, don't say it. As soon as you speak, I will bend your ribs wide and flap them like the wings of a fine angel.” The Emperor gave a quiet look at the Duke and Duchess. "I understand, ma'am. It's okay. Elizabeth didn't do anything wrong." "I told you not to say that." The Duchess, who was about to answer with a smile on her face, was embarrassed by the Emperor's gaze and waited for the Queen's words to continue. "It's all of a sudden, so it's natural for a child to be so embarrassed. As a mother of a child before she was the Empress, I also withdraw my rash remarks. A child should grow up to be loved by his parents.” “That's true. But." The Duchess gulped down. Did Isolde's scar succeed in making time for healing? "I don't know if you deserve to be called parents. I will take Elizabeth to the Imperial Palace as well." The Queen's tone was very calm and gentle, but she was adamant.
"Let's speed up the engagement. The etiquette also encourages the engagement of young young lovers and young people to be held after the age of 10, but this is to wait for the body and mind to grow enough for each other to be the other's companion, not necessarily legally defined. Even more so, considering that the beginning of this engagement was a prenatal drug. Duchess Elysium, do you think Elizabeth is not good enough as Leon's fiancée? What do you think, Your Majesty?" "I··· I···." "...The meaning of Jim is the meaning of the Empress." The Emperor stole the words of the Duchess and nailed her to support her will. The Duchess repeatedly clenched and straightened her fist, only biting her lips. "Good. Before spring passes and summer comes, the two children will exchange their futures with God watching." "That's a relief." With that amount of time, I can heal all of Isolde's wounds! It's an engagement, so I'm sure there will be people who will help the family. This is an opportunity. The Duke was only thinking at this moment. However, as soon as the Empress was added, the Duke's face grew from a light of dirt to a white crab and blue again. "Based on the time Elizabeth entered the palace, the Duke and Duchess of Elysium order to prohibit any public or private meeting with the child, regardless of formality and scale. Unless Elizabeth finds you first, you should never talk to her first, and if you are in one place, please be as far out of her sight as possible." "The Empress, why are you so worried that only the right people will be invited to the place where the precious daughter-in-law appears?"
The meaning of what the Emperor was trying to say was obvious. They should no longer appear at major imperial events. Even if she participated, she had to stay in a corner as well as possible so that she would not be seen by her daughter. The Duke saw his vision of entering politics and having a pleasant conversation with high-ranking officials in front of his eyes. "Do you have anything else to say?" That was the end of the story. The Emperor and Empress stood up in a determined manner that they did not want to be here for a second longer.

“True. We'll take Leon, Your Majesty." "Oh, my God. I forgot something important." "What do you mean "important"? Your Majesty!" The Empress pushed the Emperor's chest with a light gesture. The Emperor, who was following her up the stairs, went down the stairs again half a step as if he were to match her rhythm. "Oh, my God, the Empress is trying to assassinate the Emperor." "I don't have the energy to joke. If it wasn't really ··· Leon ···." Would it be good to see a child acting closer to a sophisticated Taeyeop doll that is better made than a person? The Empress herself was frankly not confident. Arriving in Elizabeth's room with the guidance of the maids, the Empress knocked on the door with a small voice, but when there was no response, she made eye contact with the Emperor and opened the door in a cautious manner. The white and blue room was reminiscent of the white sand that was finely sanded and the sea that fell like a waterfall over the horizon. 'And the prince himself gave her shoes embroidered with blue water mangoes, saying Elizabeth liked blue.'
The Emperor leaned against the wall and looked around the room with his arms crossed. The Empress carefully raised Leon. There were traces of tears flowing down the young cheeks, which were still chubby. "I'm so heartbroken as an adult, but Leon has grown to the point where it's hard to walk ten steps in my arms before I knew it, but Leon still appeared in the Empress' eyes when he was just beginning to walk." When the Emperor gestured, the maids carefully held them up to the imperial carriage so that Elizabeth and Leon, who were asleep, would not wake up. "I have to pack the lady's clothes and valuables. ··." The Empress lengthened her words as if the Duchess, who followed her in a hurry, told her to listen. "Well, that's. I've been sending all my clothes to the laundry room because the seasons have changed in the past few days. ··." "Then I'll have to take the clothes." The Duchess' expression became even more speculative. With her mouth shut, the Empress headed across Elizabeth's room to the dress room. "Mrs.···." "Yes··. Empress." "Did you really put Elizabeth on something like this ···?" The Queen's voice was shaking. It was a fancy and uncomfortable dress that filled the walls of the spacious dress room. But her hand pointing was not a heavy dress even for adults. When the Duchess found the corset that had been hurriedly peeled off from her fainted Elizabeth, she just mumbled, "No, it's, it's all." "Your wife was raising children, not education. Putting a child in such a person-shaped prison." Only three comfortable clothes were worth wearing except pajamas that I could wear except pajamas.
Even so, they had only found that each sleeve was different and slipped from a hanger and stuck in a corner. "Do you know what Elizabeth usually likes?" The Duchess said nothing with her head down. The Empress sighed as she touched her forehead. "I don't need jewelry. If you have anything that the lady is attached to, take it." Except for Leon's shoes and flower rings, Elizabeth's cherished items were just a few fairy tales whose pages were lost as if someone had intentionally torn them apart. With the stark result of not having a doll that anyone of that age would have at least one doll or a blanket that always sleeps hugging, the empress bit her lips and suppressed her anger. It was not long after the carriage with the imperial pattern completely escaped the forest surrounding them that the Empress spit out. "You kept your promise." "Promise?" "A word of four when you return." The Empress stared at the side of the Emperor. I could see the tip of his lips rising little by little, which had been tightly closed. "I am not the spirit of the wind beyond the window, Your Majesty." Only then did the Emperor turn his head and hold the queen's hand tightly. The Empress rested her head on the Emperor's shoulder and closed her eyes. On the other side, Leon and Elizabeth were asleep with their heads on each other. Leon thought with his eyes closed again. Should I say it's a relief to have Elizabeth by my side by my side? 'Oh, I'm going to ride the carriage separately from next time ···'

"We're done with the family. I can't believe Elysium ended! How do I look at the faces of my ancestors when I'm dead?" The Duke had been circling the same spot for a while and standing a vein around his neck. "Wow! I can't believe I've been humiliated like this. No matter how much the imperial family has been, I wouldn't have come this far if Elysium's blood had not been mixed with the imperial family for generations. ··." The Duchess was in agony. Like her husband, who grabbed her back from her back and neck, and was the face of her family, the face of her ancestors, and spoke enthusiastically. "I'm confident that I'm a parent without shortage." Everything was for my daughter. No matter how great the character of the Empress, who will be the mother-in-law, the Imperial family was in a place where one small mistake might change the child like a goal wound. I hoped she wouldn't get picked on in such a place. I hoped to act perfectly and receive only praise. There had to be no small dust on the child's path until she sat safely in the seat of the Empress that no one could see. The child followed what she told her without saying much. Her daughter was a kind, friendly, understanding, and early-aged child who understood the phrase "all for you." "Why did the Empress get angry when she raised her child so well?" The Duchess couldn't understand what the Empress said about keeping the child in prison and raising him.

Leon, who had fallen asleep, stared for a long time at his father, who only looked out the window, while maintaining an uncomfortable posture that his mother, who had fallen asleep, would not be able to sleep. "Father." "Why son?" "Take care mother." "Take care of your girl." "I've been holding back all this stupidity, trying to cancel everything about engagement and getting rid of him." "If I do, I'll be running around in the night with Lizzie." "Where else did you learn that?" "From the book." The Emperor had shimmy eyebrows. The Empress's genes, which had barely grown up and never gone by appearance, were a little revealed in his character, but it must have been a moment's whim for her son, who looked like my childhood. "Father." "What's wrong with you, son?" "Do you think mother is really happy?" His purple eyes stared at his young son. The son was staring straight at his father's face. The Emperor somehow felt that the gaze resembled himself in the mirror. He could have taken it for granted because he was a son, but the Prince in front of him was only ten years old, and he was too young to sit with a pessimistic look on his face because he was so sullen and sulky. "...we're happy, but we're cursed at the same time. That's how the Imperial family works. Being at the peak of everything is not always a good thing. I hope you'll feel better by the time you marry her and take my crown away."
"You're thinking like a 'father' for some reason." "Hey, stop the carriage for a moment because the Prince is coming back on foot to the palace." "I'm wrong." The Emperor gestured to the knight who ran to confirm his order with his eyes about to pop out, saying, "It's nothing," and moved his body so that the Empress could lean more comfortably. That was the end of the father-son conversation. Leon and the Emperor looked out of the window in the same posture as in the mirror until they arrived at the palace. 'At least I won't make an extreme choice like, so I hope so.' Leon's gaze glanced up and down at the Emperor.
I had a strange dream. Elizabeth slowly opened her eyes and thought. Someone was holding her hand and anxiously asking for forgiveness. Please, opportunity, qualification, and other fragmented words circled around my head and slowly scattered like smoke. Elizabeth's eyes widened as she turned around, noticing that her hands were wrapped in warm warmth.
Ch 13 mentions the Imperial family being cursed but I'm not sure if that was literal or just cursed as in although they're at the peak of power not everything is sunshine and rainbows—it's probably the latter tho. Idk what's up with past life ML yet, if his indifference was just merely that or there was something more to it.
It's not like he was completely devoid of emotions. On top of the Ducal family of Elysium's pressure/persistence in making connections with the Imperial by marrying their daughters to them with the bs excuse of being descendants of angel or bc of the first Empress, he was creeped out by how FL acted like an elaborate doll to the point that she wasn't herself anymore/her own person, so he was reluctant her (refer to Ch 10). He probably didn't feel the need to go beyond fulfilling their duties which is marrying and having an heir. For royals and nobles, they don't go into a marriage of convenience expecting a romance of the century deal. They can fulfill their duties minus the emotions/feelings between husband and wife. Although his parents loved each other, how often does that happen for royals/nobles? He was even engaged at a young age, not for love but for convenience. He wasn't interested in her and was reluctant towards her so he doesn't get to know her and all, he even admits he didn't know anything about her that is until he read her diary. Before all this, his mindset was probably that everything would be fine even if he didn't put his emotions into the relationship bc that wasn't the main point of it anyways. He did know what he did wrong and how his actions were wrong—he realizes it after reading her diary which was the only way knowing her by then. I'm sure he felt bad/guilty when he knew how much she suffered and also how much she thought of and did for him, even if for just the sake of being the perfect empress. He realized how foolish he was, so he wanted to make it up to her. Initially, he simply wanted to make her happy and for her to stop her obsession of being the perfect empress after he read her diary. In the 2nd life, he was at first set on breaking their engagement bc he thought that would solve the problem. It was not only later on when he got to know her more in their 2nd life that he does vow to devote himself and his life to her and her happiness. He didn't instantly come to this conclusion/decision after reading her diary.
As for him not feeling anything when she dropped dead in front of him...yeah, maybe he is psychotic? idk don't have all the answers yet. EDIT: but, this is kinda similar with other novels where the guy never loved the one they married and the girl would end up dying either by illness/accident/suicide/etc. and the guy wouldn’t bat an eye. No remorse, no nothing toward the news of their wife dying. Heck, some even bring in their mistress the day after! (I think this ML is better tho cuz at least he wasn’t shitty to her in this way like these other dude just the emotion part)
It did mention in FL's diary that she met the magician of the clock tower and wonder if the spell worked? So perhaps something did happen The magician seemed to know FL, calling her by her name instead of Empress.
*sigh* I'm completely exasperated with those shitty parents. They don't think they're wrong at all toward the FL, like pls get off your high horse
Apparently, the Elysiums are descendants of angels and the first Empress was a daughter of Elysium. They milk the hell out of this to make a connections with the Imperial family.
Ty so much mate also it seems its kinda fast pased 13 chapters and already dealt withher shitty parents
I think the parents will be a problem again in the future especially when she has a sister. I think they will probably try to do something to her for her sister to take her place.
Gaaahhh i want to see the duke and duchess go through whatever they did to FL. It's sad to see how FL can't even decide for herself or understand her feelings..she's like a doll/robot almost. Now i see why the ML was indifferent and creeped out in the first time line. I hope that she can express herself more in the future. I hope she grow out from how/ what her parents taught her and from being like a doll.
finally you come to give us the spoiler
as always thank you very much
