ML did NOT kill the MC as far as I know. His fault is being indifferent to her and not caring when she died. I think it's being mixed up with other similar genre webtoons.
From what I know after reading manhwa, (Crown Prince POV and memories) the empress is visit Beach and walk to near cliff and accidentally tripped and fall. After empress die, the emperor is so breakdown until can't do his work as emperor. Correct me if I'm wrong.
From the spoilers here: the Empress was depressed about living in the palace and having no freedom she was used to when she was young, like horse riding, painting and having fun, so when she fell off the cliff the emperor somehow let her die for her to finally be free. And after that he went mad and ML had to replace him early, loosing a mother to an accident (?) and a father to a mental breakdown.

It seems like the empress and emperor have their happy ending and had a daughter (after constant trying lol) . Glad the empress did not commit suicide like the 1st TL
Before I continue reading this I want to know Spoiler: IS IT TRUE?? Someone on a website comment section said at the end Lizzie live and Leon died. Is that true? I haven't gathered the courage to open the spoiler in page 8
I remember reading one of the spoilers a while ago by @-NEAR- where he mentioned that when the emperor and empress went back to her hometown she was walking near a cliff and fell to her death but what was shown in the manhwa this week looks like it’s telling a different story…take it with a grain of salt though because from what I read it seems like Leon is having trouble remembering exactly what happened so this might not have even occurred in the 1st TL. Spoiler: Image @yutasthreateningaura I highly doubt that this is the type of story where the main characters would die. I’ve said this and been wrong already though so just to confirm I read the last part of the spoiler and I can confirm they don’t I’m pretty sure all couples, the Emperor and Empress, Leon and Lizzie and Mimir and the Chancellor are together by the end of the side stories.
I read from the spoilers here (? Please just look up at it for corrections and stuffs) that at the first timeline, the Empress really did fall off the cliff and the Emperor just let her because he loves her so much that he wanted her to have her freedom, meanwhile, at the current timeline, the Empress didn't fall off the cliff and they lived quite happily... They also did gave Leon a Spoiler younger sister .
Oh yeah I don’t doubt that all couples in the current timeline will have a happy ending and I’m pretty sure this is just Leon remembering the situation incorrectly but the picture makes it look like the emperor is pushing her off the cliff LOL.
