I think I would love banned players writing Essays to get unbanned. It would be hilarious. Compare that with them comparing with other essays in a database. Meaning, you have to write more unique appeals every time. The hackers will cry and just rebuy if anything. And I repeat, that will be amusing.
Wouldn't say Elder Scrolls Online was bad gameplay wise. But the implementation was rushed and resulted in broken promises and what not. Which wasn't particularly good in an era with several established MMO's.

Funnily enough their 'Community Managers' have said this should be a false message as they didn't intend for people to write essays when banned. Shows that even in Bethesda, it's a broken and split community/management.
you take that back, peaseant! Elder scrolls online was great! Its fallout that sucked donkey dick. Tho i will say that elder scrolls online was a bit too ambitious and unable to fully follow through. Still pretty good tho, seen a lot worse. Which isnt to deny that it had its flaws, but yeah it was somewhere at or above average.
I don't understand why you could have any sympathy for a cheater. The fact they're getting a chance at redemption at all is far more than they deserve. If it was me I would fine them, make them pay a fee to have their accounts unbanned. Have it so the amount to be paid is increased with each consecutive offense.
ESO was fine. Had its up and down but in the end it still manage to create its own following that will stay strong with it.
The funny thing is... even basic skin modders and people who simply have a single player cheat software running like Cheat Engine also got it. It's not just cheaters.
Because they also blacklisted Reshade which isn't really a cheating tool as far as I know (which isn't that far, granted).
i wont buy a bethesda game till its been out for atleast 6 months and patched like crazy and then maybe when its on sale.
Sounds like the moderators in this mess either don't know what they're doing, or are just being overly paranoid. Possible a bit of both.

I'm surprised Bethesda has held on for so long. I've been expecting them to go under ever since Fallout 4 (AKA, Not-Elder Scrolls, the FPS 2), but I guess Skyrim made them so much $$$ they can keep coasting. May be they will surprise us all with Starfield? Probably not, though. It is not easy to go off-formula once you grow large off of specializing - just look at how many cool game companies went under when their genre died (RIP Interplay, Black Isle, Sierra, Westwood, Double Finewell, almost). I wonder what really cool and talent-filled studios will crop up when Bethesda dies and scatters its' employees to the winds? Then again, I suppose that, too, was more of a thing when the industry was smaller, lol.
I dont see anything that will "alienate" the customer base. its not like other companies ban and/or humuliated cheater (even in offline games) reshade? well its what the bethesta says and this probably could give you advantage (like deleting building walls etc) nothing wrong with this
