Since roland is the King of Gentlemen so in a sense Beifeng, the gentlemen alliance protector, is his guardian or sorts.

 

Yeah, there shouldn't have been a twin in the original history and Roland should have been the one to become the Prince of Chaos, so Karwenz took his role.
Can't be sure but I think when Roland was caught by the Holy Church, Karwenz still wasn't with the Demons. After saving him, they made a last stand in Diffindor (not sure whether Karwenz was there at that moment), and Roland died there.
Then, in his second life, he came under Harloys (not much shown about his second life yet)
The third life is the one he became Rolo and met the rest as they investigated the incident until he became Emperor Yongye.

well, we can safely confirm that Reyne is Karwenz's descendant... just look at her overly self-confidence... or should I say, suicidal thought?

 

I'm so sad that this novel has gone off the deep end. It was so promising in the beginning. Interesting and powerful MC, decent humor, good side characters and a grand overarching plot that was being revealed bit by bit.

Now? I guess the plot is still slowly advancing, but the more I read the more it seems the focus is on the perverts and on jokes about how perverted they are.

That person is so gay. Ha ha.
That girl is such a pedofile. Ha ha.
This dude loves to fuck animals. Ha ha.
Incest? Seems fine. Ha ha.
The new guy? Oh, he is transsexual. Ha ha.
MC is forced to wear a dress. Ha ha. (is it illegal for women to wear pants?)

I found myself just skipping through most of the last 20 chapters, because I was either bored or annoyed. I've no idea what is going on in the head of the author. Such a shame.

 

I ended up reading ahead. xD And holy sh*t, this series is blowing my mind!

It turns out there's actually a really, really good reason for why Roland is so crazy. And there's actually a quite simple rule to how the system works.

As for the Alliance of Gentlemen... it's growing like cockroaches. x'D Don't look down on it, it's becoming a surprisingly influential power, for better or for worse (certainly giving a big headache to Roland). D':

The plot in this series is quite devious too, you'll see, scheming and back-stabbing e.ve.ry.whe.re. And this is also, surprisingly, turning out to be one of the better world development series I'm reading. Roland really looks at things in the long-term, and doesn't just throw in knowledge from his own world (I think it's already been mentioned that he tried to do that in his first life and everything worth inventing was already invented?). Instead, he really takes into account what's going on in This world, and sets foundations down for not just development, but also social and political change (you know like how his legal system will clean up the underworld bosses on its own even if he leaves it alone, right? That sort of thing).

@Qrofol The crazy stuff is just the author's style, some of us enjoy it. But the author does know what he's doing, there is a surprisingly solid underlying plot.

 

You put quite a bit of thought into this, your comment has given me a whole new appreciation for this novel.
