i think there’s a toss between two different scenarios when it comes to Ayer
1) he becomes the leader of the newly formed third faction
2) he sacrifices himself boosting wumianzhe’s powers


Imo 2nd option has a greater chance cuz don’t forget the 4 crystals that Roland has.



One is filed with holy power
Second is filled with water(ice)
Third should be law(dunno how)
Last should be undead ( the Ayer).

roland knew about demon descend/ascend from the fairiies' report before he sealed himself. he had the chance to adjust his plots.
i don't think that he'd abandon the northern alliance that he has spent so much effort establishing.
glina with her part demon trait would be a nice fit to fight in this front.
queen of storm has descended and the protection aura has been weaken after water elemental goddes' suicide. these factors + diana & veronica special skills might be what it takes to put her out.

i don't really have a stand on ayer -- perhaps he is bored with his immortally and want a drastic chance from the monotony.
but i guess we all agree that he is the ace in this faction -- loosing him in the early stage seems to be counter productive.
on the other hand, roland should prevent mass murder filling the river styx or he should hurry up and divert the flow into his system.

i don't understand the role of 4 crystals, but i'm not convinced they'd be the 4 corner stones for hell &/ heaven.
this is a chinese novel and the author has spoken several times about maintaining balance (order-chaos and the 4 elements)
holy, water, unknown, unknown.
the counter should be undead & fire?
but iirc, roland wondered if aylos spirit survives and he didn't expect her immediate suicide.
well, there are 2 interpretations: he'd be able to revive her as is, or she would be able to enter the cycle of reincarnation within the new system. i'm leaning on the latter though.

anyway, this is what i like about this novel.
we can be sure that we'd hit a home run then the author throws a nasty curve.

What do you mean 'nasty curve ball'? This story is already a Beifeng's ball! (Sorry about the language but it's too much of a Beifeng to not use the word Beifeng)

 

Yup. As some people guess. From the latest chapter, it is very likely that the 'system' is Goddess Eich herself. System can interfere with fate, connect dimensions (Gasha draw), support a creation power to create and sustain Frigid-winter Earth and now provide the 'knowledge' of how to make a world and elemental seals? If she's not Eich then I don't know how else the author will explain the 'system' power. Then again we been hit with that 'Beifeng ball' so many times ... so ... anything is fair game at this point! I won't even be surprise if Beifeng is a fragment of Eich herself.

 

I read this series a long time ago so my memory is a bit hazy, but from the bits that I can remember

Well, it has been confirmed that this novel will go premium around the end of this month, we were quite lucky that it happened so late for a story of such high quality.
Will still keep reading since this novel is just too good to drop over it going premium.

 

With the latest chapter relevation, I'm going to guess that the true mastermind behind Mist Kingdom fall (as mentioned by Sam) is Cynthia.

You know that there are about almost 900 chapters in the raw, right? so we are not 'so late' in the story yet. Only half way.

 

Anyone what to place a bet? Roland got the Order goddess backing. Krawenz got the Chaos goddess backing (explain a lot how he got so powerful so fast when everything in this story seem to take years to move up in power level and Roland even need to cheat with system to get to legend this fast). Now who want to place a pet that Beifeng got the Eich Goddess system backing???? LOL Consider he is the main protagonist, I would say it's fitting!

 

Curious if we are going to get a timeskip or more pov shift as Roland deals with the titans and dragons.

We have reached the story halfway.... and we know some of the major plans of Roland.

I wonder if it’s not the twin daughters who are the main antagonists but actually Eich herself ?

Also now we know who god of light actually was.... he was Roland version 1 who got his mind wiped. Poor guy, I feel bad for for him

 

the world follows hinduism / norse theology: creation, annihilation, repeat.
the cycles are natural phenomenon for the gods but roland refuse to end his cycle.

why have astyra been grooming roland into an existence to would prevent her own revival?
i think there is a hidden boss, but i don't know whether the boss is eich or the dark side of eich or someone else.
as roland has proven, order needs chaos to maintain the equilibrium, so there's a decent chance for roland to work together with karwentz later.

rather than roland v1, shouldn't he be wumianzhe prototype?

what i'm more curios about: who would god of light counterpart be?

karwentz was notified about roland's move; (reflecting on this) cynthia shouldn't have stood still while astyra played her raising game.
