He was very, very clearly not being genuine about it as we can see later on. Also falling in love with someone and having a full on affair with them are two different things, you can't control your feelings but you can control your actions. She should've just gotten together with Baek-Han after she kept her end of the bargain. I saw that you used the oh-so-typical “but fan girls want to say” line that men use whenever a female reader makes a logical argument about a male character. It's not about people calling Honglyn a wh*re, it's about how you automatically assumed fan-girls of Dowon were doing it. Do better.
Okay, so I finally saw the raws (last chapter)... It was not as depressing or disappointing as I thought it'd be... All things considered, rushed or not, I was quite suprised at how the author/illustrator executed it, the art used.. I loved the colors used, the miniscule details... For me, I'd say the symbolisms at least were brilliant! In retrospect, it finally makes sense - I can see the various parallels (the color backdrops, the lotus, ring at the pinky, the references used here and there - the tragic story of the princess, Vega, why the starry sky/the milky way, why the left earring piece.. I love it! Anyhow, NOT the ending I imagined and probably not what the author originally planned but regardless of what happened to the plot, she still managed to tie up in the end the various symbolisms used in the story. (Well, that's me. I appreciate stuff like that. Might as well just find the silver lining .) .
Can someone please tell me the name of the purple-haired guy, Lyon's friend from the empire? I only read the raws via Google/screen translate and it's not showing the name right. THANKS! I LIKE his character and his backstory with Lyon. He's like a mix of Dowun and Baek Han. (1) He's not a pushover- not even Dowun intimidated him. (2) Recognized Lyon's kindness, loyal friend to her eveb though they had a "falling out) ). I swear, if his eyes & hair were of different colors (not monochromatic), I kind of feel he will be as visually striking as Dowun. He has this charismatic and mysterious aura.
