Yes, they were from the same mysterious clan that lived on a mysterious mountain. Pretty sure his hair is long, just that it's all tied up in a bun. Also, I just want to say that I really like Jiang Cheng's official design. MC and ML's designs are also stellar, I'm so hyped for this~

Yes, MC's father was originally one of Jiang FengMian's servants. MC's mom was a wandering cultivator who was a guest at the Jiang clan and often went out night hunting and got along really well w/ Jiang FengMian (why some people thought they'd end up together). I'm pretty sure they left either right before or right after getting married, so she was never a servant. Tbh, I don't have much hope for the animation being bl, b/c Chinese censorship and all that. I'm just hoping for it to be pretty and animated well.

Iirc, ML was kind of emotionally unstable at that time b/c his brother was missing, his leg's injured, and now he's trapped in a cave w/ the guy who gets on his nerves. MC was being his usual annoying, chatty self, and ML kind of snapped and bit him, which kept MC away and silent for a while.
