Hi, does anyone know where to find MXTX's original words on MXTX herself not wanting fans to sell fanmerch?? I've only heard secondhand accounts of this. The only relevent post from MXTX herself I found was in one of her FAQs from 2016, but all it says is that (#6) the fanmerch selling rights aren't open to the public (because of copyright), so don't ask her for help, she can't help

I agree with both of you Hmm another thing I want to ask, LWJ uses "I am here" instead of "I'm here", I've noticed he never uses short versions like "i'ts/I'm/we're. Is this thanks to the amazing translator or is it that in chinese version of novel/chinese language there are also ways to shorten your sentences? Author did that on purpose? Anyways LWJ is so proper even when talking
There's no shortened version of these phrases in Chinese, however I do think it's an accurate decision to make on the translator's part. LWJ is so formal, so it makes sense he'd use formal language/English (cough Chinese)
I noticed that too, but from what I know with Chinese literature, the proper way of forming a Chinese sentences don't have short cuts, even when they mean the same thing like for example: 我車是淺藍色 Which means "my car is light blue, the colour of my car is light blue" but when it comes to writing this properly, people tend to put "的” in it to become "我的車是淺藍色". The first one when "speaking" is fine, but when you're being marked on in an exam, then people will have to put "的” to make it flow better. For "I'm here" and "I am here", in Chinese, it's simply "我在”, as for how it's being translated, it's not wrong if it's translated to "I am here" or "I'm here", because both of this is correct. So I always see that it's depending on how the translators likes or prefer to translate "我在” into. For me I would use "I'm here" because that's just me and how I would normally say it. But "I am here" is not wrong too. But I guess with Lan Zhan it's not wrong to assume he's so proper when speaking that he won't use short cuts or something XDD
