Both touching and intense. It's quite cool how despite knowing that he definitely won't die, you still feel a bit anxious. I guess the writing (and translation) was done well!
That double plot twist at the end though.. Actually, princess of Qi is a likely candidate for being the assassin but i'm not entirely sure either. I can't think of anyone else, unless its someone from Fengyi sect we haven't been introduced to yet.
The only candidate for the 3rd assassin I can think of is the Fengyi sect, but they didn't know he's the one that ruined their Southern Chu spy. It maaaaay also be someone who realizes the Princess has feeling for him and opposes, or the Emperor, but I feel like that's kind of a stretch. Can't wait for the next chapter! I tried going to the raw and google translate cuz the cliffhanger is killing me......aaaand I will obediently wait for the proper (very well done) translation. This is some good stuff!
I'm kinda leaning towards someone assassinating him because of the Princess's feeling for him too. What's puzzling me is what did each assassin do ? - Evil Hand = Prince of De - 3rd assassin = Arrow at the end (assassin seemed to know of JZ, I think there was a sad look mentionned or something) - XY = did what ?
XY wanted to do something, but someone beat him to it. So he saved the evil hand hoping to have him in debt to him and work for him to help kill Jiang Zhe.
Ugh, the Evil Hand working to respect the Prince of De's deathwish... He failed on the first try. So far, Jiang Zhe hasn't shown much actions towards the state of Southern Chu. They've somewhat capitalized. If they haven't already surrendered and vassaled themselves to Great Yong, they'll still live and strive (just under a bigger shadow). When's the King of Southern Chu getting assassinated instead ? Curious about the status of the Princess for the following arcs. Hopefully Fengyi Sect makes a move soon. The crown prince's LJ(F)? pretty smart, wonder if he'll have a chance at a verbal encounter with Jiang Zhe. Pity LL didn't listen to his advice, it'll just favour or MC just the same
So from the beginning of the story, we can see that there's a problematic undercurrent for Jiang Zhe in both countries as someone who surrendered from Southern Chu to Great Yong. A lot of those from Southern Chu consider him to be a traitor, even though it was Zhao Jia who dismissed him from office and it was Southern Chu that tried to have him assassinated. This becomes a major sticking point in Jiang Zhe's later interactions with those from Southern Chu. Zhao Jia can't be assassinated until he's left Great Yong, otherwise it would be a propaganda tool for Southern Chu.
The immense number of cliffs. It's nice to learn more about the Fengyi sect master and even about how incurable Liang Wan ended up being.
southern chu are a filled with incomptent bunch of fools, their only proper general is filled with stupid ideals, now they still want to struggle?

Home alone! Ive only started reading this and I'm only on chap 5 of this novel...hopefully I'll catch up by the end of today.

Li Hanyou is the Princess of Jingjiang (靖江郡主), a disciple of Fengyi Sect and who they're trying to get hitched with Qin Qing.
The chapters are longer, so it does take a bit more time to read, but its a good story! hahahaha will you stalk this LCD too?
So much users have been praising and recommending this novel to me (you included ) that I thought that I'll give it a try and I'm enjoying it so far. The chapter length doesn't seem to pose much of a problem (I say this as someone who enjoys doulou dalu's chapter lengths) and as for the stalking of this LCD... no comment >_>
I suppose after Douluo Dalu everything seems short in comparison. To think that it was DD that got me into novels in the first place It's nice to see more people read this. Maybe I should shove this in my status as well >.>
If you want to, then you should go ahead and do it I'm loving Jiang Zhe's decisiveness so far I'm supposed to be asleep now as well...looks like I'll have to stop at chapter 28 now and carry on tomorrow.
