I think due to PLUTO being British, they wrote the British word for artifact rather than using the american spelling which is Artifact. Even currently for me, since I am in Britain also the computer tells me the word 'artifact' is actually wrong and it will change to 'Artefact'
Yeah, I have to check Several websites, since you list out meaning for both words which the meanings are similar to each other. They are the same words. So both of those meanings are both for those words.
Actually they're the exact same word with the exact same meaning, it's just the usual American vs. English spelling prefference. Artifact is preffered in America and artefact is slightly more used in Britain. The definitions op just quoted is both right for both words.
