Why It Should Be Picked Up: I've always wanted to read this, ever since @estelion released the page recommending it on his site. Hell, I even bought volume two or something when I went to Japan. Sadly they didn't have volume one, I was so depressed. Was always on a lookout for it ;^; But yeah, anyways, it looks super cute and amusing and I really want to read the translation. One day. Maybe. In the near future, maybe. Q-Q

Some sort of short summary of the premise, courtesy of Este-sama:

Probably the original villainess noble girl story since it began in February 2012.

Basically there’s a 300+ year old family of attractive Kitano Seiichirous who all end up being born with a villainous face of some sort.

• The father has a completely cold-blooded and ruthless Maou face
  (so much that when he married his lovely wife, high society was filled with talk of ‘sacrifice to the Demon King’)
• The brother looks like the gentle-looking type of ikemen who discards women after using them and sucking them dry of everything they have
• The aunt looks like a succubus-type villainess who has all the men wrapped around her fingers
• Our lovely protagonist, Diana Cresta, looks like your typical ruthless villainess rich girl
• Even in the genderbent short story, the older brother (now older sister) looks like a dangerous shotacon woman, and the protagonist looks like the oresama-type arrogant ikemen.

Anyway, the protagonist Diana is for some reason given the King’s inner palace… amongst 50 other concubines. There, she struggles to maintain the balance in power between the Reformist Faction and Conservative Faction, protect the concubines with lower standing, and in generally avoid a war breaking out in the country.

Along the way she meets many girls who see past her face and support her. There’s also a lovely subplot where she and the heroine-ey girl become friends. The first time they ‘meet’, the girl, Sierra, is crying from beyond a corner of the hallway. Diana comforts her as the mysterious and faceless girl, ‘Dii’, and they begin a weird but very sweet friendship where one side never sees the face of the other.

So yeah, I really want to read this. The LN art is also super pretty and just tugs at my heartstrings even more. I'm a sucker for female protags, and this family with their evil looks sounds super amusing. Also, in general, the story sounds cute. Like, super cute. And I love cute things. And yeah, I really just want to see this translated. Always have. I'm determined to get my hands on that first volume when I visit Japan again in July. Who cares if I can't read Japanese?! :< So yeah. Please, someone translate this and realize my lifelong dream. Yes, this is literally my lifelong dream. I don't even know how long I have been hoping for a translator to come along and translate this. I even attempted machine translation, but I can't stand machine translation, and my inner grammar nazi was almost brought to the verge of death after just the summary, so that failed miserably.

 

Just the reference to Kitano seiichirou was enough for me to want to read it. Angel denstetsu was one of my favorite manga of all time, and I don't think I've ever seen a bad recommendation from estelion

Just glancing at the raws filled with kanji make my eyes bleed ;A;

I've been trying a new method to help me learn kanji I don't know by writing them all out on paper and looking them up, but this... It looks difficult.

It sounds interesting though. I hope it gets picked up.

Well, what I have is a popup dictionary. Where the definition/translation pops up when I scroll over the word o3o mine is Chinese though. But technically kanji are Chinese characters, so it shouldn't be too much of a difference? >.>

 

Something similar to Rikai-chan?

Rikai-chan is pretty useful, actually. Only, it doesn't really help me since I'm trying to memorize/learn new kanji ;o;

Why is it so hard to learn another language? TT-TT

I think Este-sama said it was more focused on girl-girl friendships. I don't exactly know, but I don't think romance is any main sort of genre for the story if it does have any.
