    What are your thoughts on the jjwxc announcement about the international (if it can be considered that with main MTL system) site and the impact it'll have on currently available and/or future translations? I saw several novel translations already removed or locked, so I'm very worried for the fate of my food- I mean, reading qwq

    I hope this doesn't mean the end to our enjoyment of danmei novels. Mostly, I'm worried that there'll be a purge of quality (and free) translations, while poor quality paid MTL will become the main, officially hosted by the original platform. I've been hoping jjwxc would add an easier way to support authors even to the international readers, but not like this úwù

    That's for the new reader to worry, I guess old reader will just quit or find a way to grandline, new world.hehe

    my thoughts: It's depressing buttttttt we can't do anything. plus I'm a new reader and haven't read the ones that I've been wanting to read, it's now locked....

    I doubt they would care abt translation quality smh. We have so many good quality and FREE danmei here, guess our time is over once jj discover the way to milk intl readers

    If they start purging fan translation guess im taking mine down as well

    hope it flops (it's probably still on a testing period?) The news isn't being taken very well by both readers and tlers, especially after the terms and conditions in their contract

    Well, I would like to say congrats to the authors. Their work could finally become a legal internationally published works.

    Piracy and fan translation are like borrowing a book. You gotta return it to the rightfull owner when they need it.

    I am not going to comment on other stuff until the site launch date

    That's why I said I was hoping for an easier way for international readers to donate/pay the authors, but if their system just ends up with bad quality MTL becoming the norm and quality translations becoming extinct, what with the terms of the contract - and then danmei becoming inaccessible to international readers, I feel like this will just end up with nothing won and all lost =w=;

    I can't help but worry about the future as a reader. I imagine translators are even more worried, since it'd be easy for someone to just steal their work and get paid (badly) for it - meaning translators might be entirely discouraged from continuing to translate anything. The future looks bleak atm..

    well we as consumer can only vote by money, then spread the gossip far and wide if such thing happen~ the othet way which kinda difficult is.... build another company that specializes on translating it~ you know like seven sea, yen press, jnovel club, wuxiaworld ect

    most of the time, any new way to monetize what used to be free for international readers will suck

    hold up, if this becomes like webnovel, if I simply filter bl on my homepage, wouldn't nearly nothing be on it?

    You can apply to the website itself. Make sure you're within Mainland, Taiwan, or HK. Also, anonymity is also not ensured.

    Aaand I read about the whole Qidian, if jj is following that it'll be rip. But then again, which BIG company will not milk to the last drop?

    Considering the heavy censorship in mainland china, there's also a possibility this is jjwxc way to slowly move their main base somewhere out of censorship.

    A little bit too hopeful, but we could only hope for the best.
