The King's Avatar anime/donghua without the Chinese subs?

    For reason that make no sense to me the official English subs are overlaid over Chinese subs and it looks really sloppy-looking and distracting. Is there where it's just the English subs?

    Watched it all w both subs and never really bothered about it

    Chinese subs 99% always added on Chinese show.
    They have tones and homophones so the sub added to help viewer.

    If it was just some guys ripping a TV broadcast I could understand but it was uploaded by Tencent (who produced it,) how would they not have the raw footage?

    And I know these raws exists because the subs provided by Bayi didn't have the Chinese subs on them!

    It wasn't on YouTube, one of those seedy anime streaming sites. I remember that the subtitles themselves were a different font.
