Repeating (his life) this time, he only wants to find that little guy (ML), to take and raise his big, while he earns a little money as he pleased to support his family. But but they're cute together, and from what I've read so far, it seems to be a pretty good relationship. ML's sticky to MC. (it's cuuuuute - in the beginning tho sad, it's plentiful with cuuuuuuute (MC and ML moments - it's not even romantic to be honest, they just stick to each other and it's sweet). I went through about 1-2 pages of MTL before I decided it wasn't for me lol, though I peeked at the ending. (I'm a cultivation world/fantasy novel fan) Beginning sets up some of MC's backstory before transmigrating and info about his family. MC's life was on the decline in 1st life (I didn't catch how he died, if he did die) because he got kissing another guy at home. His parents are super supportive of his sister, but not so much for him which is last straw. I think they kicked him out of home? His mother's not too bad I think, it's just his father who's borderline mean to him. His sister actually hates him or something, she has it out for him. Her screaming was one of reasons he got caught. MC has nice relatives though -- like his uncle? and grandparents? They support him a lot. MC ends up pretty much living with them full-time after he transmigrates. MC comes across young ML in a slum/market area. He had a rough childhood and was beaten up by his parents/relatives and had to fend for himself. When found, ML like a rabid wolf and bites people + doesn't speak. This makes MC call him 'Lang Lang' which means 'wolfy.' ML's real name is Yin Xu, I think. MC + a goodhearted policeman + MC's nice relatives band together to get ML out of clutches of his evil family members. Apparently ML's parents tried to kill him/didn't want him (?) and his relatives beat him within an inch of his life. In beginning stages at least, it's not romantic. ML is a quiet little bun and sticky with MC. He has a tendency to bite strangers and only listens to MC. Skimmed ending, which is HE. ML is the possessive, sticky type. He and MC seem to be sweet together.

Why his sister doesn't like him, I don't know. She seems to be the bitchy white lotus type. His relatives adopt the bun because MC himself is a minor/dependent right now. He can't adopt ML. His relatives do it for MC and because they feel bad for such a small bun like ML going through so many difficulties. ML's scum family is threatened by the good police officer. I admire that guy a lot lol. He also scares them into signing away ML to MC's relatives, which is what they want. A good home for ML.
Spoiler It starts immediately with rebirth where MC is at the hospital after his head was with an ash tray thrown by his father when he was caught kissing this Wei-dude. Wei-dude is the son of the Wei family who the dad works for and he found out when MC's sister cried out that they were kissing (sister is a bitch and like Wei-dude's looks so...). Anyways, at the hospital, he goes out to grab food and meets Wei-dude there and tells him that he wants to break up despite the fact that, in the past life and in this one, he never once visited him in the hospital and even when he said he will try to convince his parents, fails to do so in the past life and his parents ends up cutting off MC's father and brother when MC still tries to keep communication with Wei-dude. MC calls home but it's picked up by sister-in-law who's pregnant or his sister but they either don't care or don't like him and doesn't transfer the phone to his mom like he asks. The only decent person in his family is his mom and she's occupied taking care of MC's pregnant sister-in-law. His older brother is just plain lazy. So he goes home by taxi and goes into his room to find his passbook (?) that a decent sum of money. He regretted not remembering bringing it with him in his last life since he needed the money to take care of Lang Lang. Father comes home and eats dinner and later on tells MC that he's moving back home where his uncle, aunt and grandparents live. MC was super nonchalant about this because it already happened in his past life. In his past life, he was sent to his aunt and uncle who lived in another, smaller city (not the rural's like every other novels lol) to finish high school there and then he was sent abroad. Because he was upset about the family (his father) and Wei-dude in his past life, he was pretty gloomy and distant with his aunt and uncle and grandparents which made it so that they became cold to him as well. But this time, he was super friendly with them and his niece and nephew. Uncle and aunt owns a tea shop (?) on the first floor and the second and third is used for living. I think they also own another building where the first floor is given to a shop while the second floor has a moldy smell. MC insists on living there and bribes his niece and nephew with chocolate and kfc to help him clean(I think aunt and uncle are into Chinese medicine or owns a Chinese medicine store and is strict about the kids eating junk food). Later on, he goes to the vegetable market because it was there that he picked up Lang Lang from an alley two months later. He find Lang Lang there and when a vegetable aunt tried to give the poor child who she thinks is a child trafficker victim (or a lost child and MC is the brother) some food, Lang Lang tries to bite her. MC moves away and brings him home where he is greeted by niece and nephew. They also guess that the kid was a child trafficker victim and when MC tries to give Lang Lang a bath, he sees the bruises and becomes furious and tells his nephew, who also sees the scars, to call the police. In his past life, MC picked up Lang Lang two months later so the bruises had faded by then and he didn't notice, until too late that Lang Lang was being abused. Lang Lang on the other hand doesn't talk but he's super fascinated by the hot bath and MC running a washcloth gently over his bruised skin.
Poor Lang Lang. Spoiler Anyways, MC knows that it's Lang Lang's relatives that was actually abusing him but he fakes not knowing when the police officer arrives. They go to the police station to fill out a statement before going to the hospital and Lang Lang is always in MC's arm and refuses to go into anyone else's arms. MC is like 15 years old and carrying a child like Lang Lang was tiring. They returned to the station from the hospital after they verify that Lang Lang was mute by choice and gets medicine for his bruises and other hurts. MC's uncle shows up at the station (the cliche misunderstood, thinking MC did something bad and apologizing for him). Police officer Uncle Zhang tells him what happened and ask the uncle if it's alright for them to take care of Lang Lang for awhile, enough so that he opens up enough to go to an orphanage. Since they still assume LL is a child trafficking victim, he can't be adopted by the family that finds him or something like that. Grandma or aunt (not sure which) is all for taking in LL since one of her childhood friend was a child trafficking victim and she never heard from her ever again. MC's relatives are super supportive of LL which wasn't the case in the past life since he was so distant with them and they didn't understand why he was attached to LL when LL's relative came to pick him up three years later. Now though, they are super supportive and MC and LL sleeps in aunt and uncles house tonight. LL sees the forehead scar MC's dad had left and becomes super angry before MC tells him it was an accident. The next day, they go to MC's house. MC does his laundry and leaves the TV on so LL can watch but LL follows MC and helps his do laundry (by hand) and you see him trying to rub/wash the pants and MC's like, you don't have too, I won't abandon you if you're not useful. MC goes to...some place with doubtful people (?) and asks for this dude and pays him to spread a rumor that there was a lost kid that was adopted by a rich person. This was the same rumor that brought LL's parents to MC's place in his last life three years later but MC decided to deal with them now (those relative blackmailed him with LL to give them money he did not have at that time due to not having taken his passbook last life). Because of the rumors, LL's relatives shows up earlier than usual (MC estimated 2-3 days but they come like, the next day) and MC greets them while hiding LL. In his past life, when LL's relative were rude and threatened MC when MC didn't want to give LL away and LL seeing MC hurt, attacked his relatives and bit him but was still taken away Now though, he tells them he will go call his uncle and calls the police officer instead saying that the child traffickers appeared at his doorsteps pretending to be LL's relatives. He hesitates to call his uncle because he knows his uncle would show up immediately and he wanted to let those people suffer. He takes oblivious LL into the bathroom to wash his face and brush his teeth. LL can't reach the sink by himself so MC place a little stool there. Soon the sound of the police officers come from outside and the relatives, rude as they are, threatens and harms a police officer all while saying that they really were LL's relative and tells them LL's real name is Yan Xu or something. They still get taken into the police station because Uncle Zhang remembers the bruises he saw on LL and even if they weren't child trafficker, child abuse is a no-no. Stuff happens in the station, MC's uncle shows up in their doorway and MC's like, I wanna keep LL and even if they are his relatives, LL would just be abused again if he returned to them. Uncle calls Uncle Zhang and tells him if it's possible to adopt LL and LL's adoption is kinda done under the table (LL's relatives didn't want LL in the first place but just to be safe, Uncle Zhang threatens them and all lol). MC's uncle ask the family though if they are okay with adopting LL (MC's too young to adopt LL) and they all agree and LL starts living with MC despite the grandma's disapproval (they adopted LL so why is he staying with MC but then sees how well MC is taking care of himself and LL and leaves it be).

Spoiler So MC gets up really early to talk to his mom since if he called any other time, his sister-in-law would pick up or someone else and wouldn't give it to his mom (except maybe his older brother). They talk and she knows about LL. Later on, MC, LL and the male cousin goes to the bookstore so MC can get reference books since it has been a long time since he was in high school. Also so he could get teaching materials for LL since he wasn't sure if LL would agree to go to school. In the past life, LL didn't want too and MC didn't have money anyways and they didn't have the support of his past life relatives. So at the bookstore, they meet this Chen-dude who is apparently a classmate of female cousin. Female cousin used to admire him but always talk about him at home but suddenly turned cold about him (it's explained why but I didn't really understand). Anyways, seeing him, MC thinks back to his past life where MC had gotten a job in a bar thanks to Chen-dude who, at the time, thought that he and LL were orphans only to find out later that they were related to female cousin. He finds out now though that MC is related to female cousin in this life and sees him with LL. After going home, MC thinks about his monetary issue and his future. He knows how the stock market goes because he was into finance in his past (I think) and wants to play within the stocks since he knows how it will go. Unfortunately he is too young to do so and female cousin, the oldest among them, isn't 18 yet. Asking his uncle would result in an immediate 'no' and he thought to Chen-dude who was 18 and how he had helped him in the past (btw, he's also in charge of that dude that MC paid to spread rumors about LL to his relatives). MC goes to his bar with LL and talks to him and Chen-dude asks him question about finance to test him. He ends up agreeing and tells him to come back another day. MC and male cousin is studying together and male cousin is having difficulty since he wasn't good at that stuff. He knows uncle spent a lot of money to get male cousin into a good school only for male cousin to end up at the bottom of the ranking in the past life and having to move very far and rarely coming home to do his job. So MC suggested male cousin think about doing things differently for his future, something he likes or is good at like becoming a physical education teacher or something. MC promises male cousin to talk to his uncle about it and then female cousins calls out to them to go on a picnic. They take their bikes to go to this farmhouse thing where you pay an entrance fee of 30 something and you can fish, pick vegetables and have the owner slaughter a goose or an animal for you and cook it yourself later. MC hasn't ridden a bike in ages so he goes slow while carrying LL. Seeing that he was having trouble one of the cousins or the cousin's friends offered to take LL. LL sort of agrees which is a bit surprising since he wasn't open to anyone but MC in the past life but then again, MC didn't really interact with anyone in the past life even after LL came in in his life. So male cousin offers to help the boss of the farmhouse to get a goose but one of the more "violent" goose escapes and pecks male cousin. Goose ends up chasing male cousin around while eyeing his butt (XD) which makes for a hilarious scene. LL is trembling in MC's hands and MC thought he was frightened until he hears LL's laugh. Male cousin hears it too and becomes less upset about being chased by a goose. Even when the goose catches up and pecks his butt and the owner offers to compensate, male cousin refuses because he made LL laugh. Male cousin joins MC and LL and MC and male cousin both pretend that LL didn't laugh while male cousin asks MC if LL really did laugh. Even in the past life, when they had lived together for 3 years, LL didn't laugh and in this life, their relatives saw LL was TV with a blank expression so LL laughing was a big deal. They rejoin the rest of their group and they play, fish, go pick chestnut and cook food before going home. When MC, the cousins, Chen-dude arrive at the cousins' home, one of the neighbor aunt told them that their cousin's mother got into a car accident and that she needed surgery. They all start panicking and Chen-dude helps out and calls a taxi while storing their bikes away. MC thinks that knowing his past life and how certain things in the future won't guarantee it'll end up being the same in this life. He thinks that him being there now was the reason aunt got into an accident since this didn't happen in the past life and he acknowledges he isn't all-knowing and all powerful. At the hospital, they find out that it was someone else that into an accident and MC's aunt was there to bear witness while she was out collecting rent (basically, she was part of the accident but came out fine while the other person was in surgery). They eventually go back home and female cousin doesn't hate Chen-dude as much now. Next day, MC brings up the subject of male cousin's education when uncle was about to head to his tea shop. Female cousin was also there and was surprised and concerned about the subject since she was the older sister and she sort of knew that being the outstanding one, her brother felt inferior and she felt concerned. MC also had the inferior feeling with his siblings what with being the middle child. After uncle leaves saying he'll think about, female cousin glares at MC asking why he didn't talk it out with her. MC goes to LL and hugs his golden thigh (LOL) and female cousin is worried about scaring LL so he gives up on "murdering" MC. She glares at him and MC's like, let me stay with you the whole say Lang Lang. LOL.
Why am I awake? Spoiler So, female cousin attends school in a different city but MC and now male cousin attends high school in the city they are staying in. Female cousin starts to get ready to go back to her dorms and she and MC starts teaching LL words and how to read even though he still doesn't speak. MC shows him how to write LL's real name (which is Yan Xu) and LL wants to know how to write MC's name which is Mu Jiu but LL writes it as Jiu Jiu (and is referred to as Jiu Jiu by LL forever). MC's high school starts and male cousin and MC goes to school while LL stays at home (he doesn't want to and the family doesn't want to force him). Anyways, nothing interesting, they talk about school, their military training, this cute girl male cousin is attracted too, makes friends with the two people sitting in front of them, etc. They talk about sending gift to the military training teacher once their training is done, some suggest a CD (?) but it's expensive and male cousin being the idiot that he is, tells his crush that he might get a CD (when he doesn't know the price of one) and the girl thinks he's rich (golddigger at such a young age *sigh*). So one day, one of Chen-dude's underling/employee comes see MC saying Chen-dude wants to meet and is super respectful to MC's uncle and the uncle is like, "What? Am I scary or macho or something?" but MC's like, "the dude's kissing up to his boss' future father-in-law" (Chen-dude has a crush on female cousin (I think, not sure, in the past life female cousin married someone but that marriage failed because either she ended up sleeping with Chen-dude or ends up being with him after her marriage fails). MC goes to the bar with LL to meet Chen-dude. MC got a phone to communicate with Chen-dude so they don't have to meet up all the time. At school, they get their seats changed and male cousin is sitting next to his crush while MC is sitting next to a girl who has a crush on him. People assume they are in couple or will be and MC denies that to male cousin and blurts out that he's not interested in girls before quickly changing the subject (male cousin doesn't catch on until WAY later). The subject MC changed to was about his sister-in-law being pregnant and close to giving birth. So sister-in-law gave birth and later on MC and his relatives attends the wedding of...you remember I mentioned how MC's aunt sort of got into a car accident but it was actually someone else who was hurt. MC's aunt kept visiting the dude and his girlfriend and they became close so the dude and his girlfriend invited the aunt and her family to their wedding. The flower boy ends up being sick and LL just so happens to be the right size and they dress him up and "tries" to put makeup but MC's like, does he even need it (after being taken care of, LL's malnourished figure is gone and he's a pretty boy now). LL doesn't know what a flower boy is but does as instructed while always looking for MC in the crowd. MC's like a super doting parent and takes pictures of his baby LL looking so handsome lol. MC doesn't really get marriage though since he was single his whole life in his past life (LL had been taken away by his relatives and he was constantly blackmailed to keep LL safe and then MC was sent abroad so lost touch with LL's state of being and relatives didn't keep track. He hears every so often that someone found/saw LL (LL also came looking for him when he was older but he wasn't there at the time) and he goes looking for him only to lose track again and when he finally tracks him down, it's to the news that he's dead). During the wedding, LL ends up sneaking in a drink of the alcohol and falls asleep drunk. He wakes up with a hangover and MC is like "that'll teach you to secretly drink" So winter solstice is a big deal in this city and the tradition is to invite all "foreigners" (people coming from other cities) to their house for supper. MC and male cousin ends up inviting their two friends as well as the two girls that have now become their neighbor (or more like, the girl that male cousin has a crush on wills her way in and drags the other girl just so she can check out male cousin's home and how rich he was). The girl's force MC and his cousin to let them ride on their bikes and they go home. LL rushes to greet MC like usual. LL likes oil fruits (?) and eats them with relish when he's offered some. There's a bowl of that fruits on the table and he wants to eat it but he doesn't grab for it and is reluctant to take it when MC offers him (LL never (?) asks, demands for stuff) and tells them that they won't tell uncle. Girl who has a crush on MC sees him taking care of LL and just thinks that MC is perfect all around (taking care of their future kids and all). Their uncle ends up cooking a dish but he's a disaster in the kitchen and no one wants to touch his dish. He leaves for a second and everyone helps to dispose of the evidence before uncle returns lol. MC and the rest drinks during this holiday and MC and LL goes to their home and takes a bath/shower together before wrapping themselves in a warm blanket for the night. MC asks what LL wants to hear but LL doesn't want to hear any story books so MC ends up reading his psychology (?) book out loud. LL is just satisfied with hearing MC's voice and falls asleep to the sound
I think the fruit that's being referred to is avocado because, in Chinese, avocado can be translated as 'butter fruit' and butter can be literally translated as 'cow oil', but ofc since I don't have the characters I'm not entirely sure.
