Lom is getting an anime? Oh no no no It will probably be horrible, much like how any adaptation of lovecraftian horror is. After all how can one animate something that is beyong anything humanity can fathom? I'm already predicting that it is going to be full of goofy ass fictioncliche monster things, like how it is in lovecraftian movies. We sadly live in a time where the technology just isn't at the level to do a good adaptation of this work.
I’ll keep my expectations extremely low for a quality anime. I just hope it’s decent enough that it picks up a big English fanbase who will read the web novel and drive forward an English physical book release. Spoiler: hopes and dreams Ideally, I’d love to see the anime really play around with art mediums to depict lovecraftian horror. I can see something similar to how Mob Psycho would have paint-on-glass animation for scenes of Mob’s more negative emotions working for the scenes where madness occurs and voices are heard during the full moon.
If lotm is getting animated be prepared to be disappointed. It's one of those that neet AoT level of serious vibe to it. Chinese media would most probably just focus on characters, fan servicing and making it lighthearted. I mean just imagine the scene of Klein's first teach doing the ritual.... It has to be grotesque and bone chilling.. I don't see it ever making it to screens in an acceptable way.

I am at chapter 1200 right now and I wanted to know if it's worth reading the last ~200 chapters. I had really enjoyed so far but I am in the Amon chasing arc and I'm feeling a bit burned out by the novel and it being super complicated at this point. I've been seeing that things end up on like a cliff hanger so I am wondering if I should even read the rest.
Personally, it's super worth it. However, if you are indeed feeling burnt out, id suggest you take a break for a few days. Too much of a good thing is a bad thing. If, when you come back after a few days, you still feel tired of the story, I'd say just skim the rest. 2 minutes per chapter. It's worth finishing the first book now since the second book is currently being released.
