Traveler? I thought Nimblewright was next? .. Or is that the one after Traveler?.. Weird. ... It was cool to see the churches come out on top for once. They were still kind of reactionary - like that have been for all the big events so far. But they were quick to react and extremely thorough. Blowing away the smog? "Erasing" pretty much everyone involved? Not even the butler was spared, lol, and the demoness didn't escape. They wrapped it up nicely. Not at all like, say, the Duke's assassination or Tingen. ... Even if Zangwill did manage to slip away again. Granted, it was all the doing of that sealed artifact and church members didn't do squat. One interesting things to note, though: The people who disappeared are (apparently) still alive, so we probably haven't seen the last of them. My first guess is the region around the City of Silver.
...? Why would he take that one. Rather, I was under the impression that the cross-compatibility only appears at higher sequences anyway, so he couldn't? The title of each volume based on the plot of the said volume, so the author will use the name of any sequences that fits the plot of the said volume. Not based on the potion klein will consume

The titles of the volumes are each named after a sequence name, and the first two just happened to be part of Klein's pathway. The author just uses whatever he wants to fit the themes and the plots of the volume. For example (based on author's note) The title Faceless refers not just to Klein's promotion to sequence 6 Faceless, but also to the faceless people who lived and died on East Backlund as some of the backbone members of society. Although their stories were rarely known, their contributions were invaluable.
It's also probably about how he lives under several disguises through the volume. Klein has been faceless for awhile, in many senses of the word. It's not just about the potion. Similarly, Clown was probably as much about the traumatic events he experienced and his decision to live with a smile through the pain. And his failures in the face of Fate.
Yep, the author mentioned that as well for his note about clown after the end of volume 1. Based on that, we can guess that since the third volume is called Traveler, there will be some traveling done, but perhaps also a deeper meaning, maybe something like a spiritual journey?
Well he mentioned going out to sea, and the mermaids (apparently) only appear at the very boundaries of human civilization. So maybe it's about discovery? Exploring uninhabited places? ... Tho, that'd be more 'explorer' than 'traveler,' I think. Maybe it'll be about never settling down in one place for long. Always on the move. Not truly connected to any one place any more. No home.
