While it was true that I didn't like nimblewright master, seeing marionettist now is so weird. And bizzaro sorceror is awkward to look at.
I did not expect Xio to be a 10 year old little girl. Also if these are all true, I am really surprised at some of 5hese additions to the tarot club. Specifically, Amon, Trissy, and wtf? ¿¡!?Demon Dog¿¡!?
Dropped this around the beginning of this volume to let it stack, and just so happened to pick it up again in time for the volume's end. Nice. I have mixed feelings. I had never heard of a nimblewright before this novel, and I doubt many people had. Marionettist is much easier to understand, and captures the feel of his ability adequately enough. On the other hand, nimblewright seems cooler, sounds cooler, and also accurately captures the feel of his ability, once you know what a nimblewright actually is. Probably even more than marionettist does? Maybe. Arcane Sorcerer to Bizarro Sorcerer is similar. I think the emphasis here is on his abilities being "strange" or "mysterious". While Arcane does fit that bill, it's more often associated with high-tier magic. Bizarro more directly captures that essence. That his abilities are "bizarre". ... Just like the shift from Nimblewright to Marionettist, however, it sounds decidedly less cool. Even moreso. Idk. I guess I prefer the originals, overall, but I'm not totally against the change.
As I was reading chapter 486 I couldn't help but wonder if it was foreshadowing the ending of the novel. The conclusions one could draw from that chapter are many or non if it was a red herring. Like the creator perhaps being the only lvl 0 but decided to swallow all the other lvl 0 sources to climb higher but failed. In a last-ditch attempt to recover he would hand out the slate with all the paths. His scheme was that he could recover if there where 11 other lvl 0 gods. This would imply that perhaps the path that the creator is on actually have a fake lvl 0 advancements on the slate, as in no one can climb to that position. Let´s not forget that illusive prophecy either. My guess is that Hermit is lvl 1 on the same path as the creator and a "devout" believer and that he was there when the creator gave him the "task". Perhaps rescueing candidates that have potential to reach lvl 0? Like, are those ancient monsters really dead or not? Is Hermit´s power miracle? Will we see Gustav Rossel again? Your thoughts fellow readers?
I find Klein talking to an unborn fetus funny. Especially when Will complained that he can't fold a paper crane inside his mom's stomach lol.
When does it start picking up? Cause seen many recommendation for it and wonder if it's one of those slow at the beginning type novels.
I personally think it had a very poor and slow beginning, It fails to convey a frame for the story and it´s not until he actually gets hired for a job that the frame of the story is in place. If I was the writer I would have rewritten the early chapters.
At the very least Cuttlefish Who Loves Diving earned some money for those chapters hehe... I agree with you to be honest. But looking on the positive side, the slow-burn mystery was interesting enough to got me hooked. I guess if you're interested in "whodunnit" type of story, the first few chapters were okay but if you're in this for the magical adventure then it would really seem like a useless drag. But really, the author can rewrite the first few chapters better.
Hey y’all, I put this on hold to build up chapters. What sequence is he on now and is he still in that city where he was selling bicycles or something?
Cool, I just check and mine is on hold at chapter 444 it’s him being a clown. I think that’s sequence seven. Gonna get started on it now
I think he's gonna hit sequence 4 within the next 50-100 chapters by how the story is going right now.
