Volume 1 chapter 10: I forgot how cringey it was when Ryouma talks in the beginning. I don’t really get it though. It’s not like he was a little kid before he died. He was a middle aged man. Even if he didn’t have anyone to speak to in the last 3 years his communication shouldn’t be that bad right?
One of the gods said that Ryouma's mentality regressed along with his age in order to match his new body, so there are some things he just can't help. Like being unable to stop his facial expressions from being easily readable or sometimes losing control of his temper. I don't know if the reboot will change that part. @Wujigege: Yes it got a LN adaptation. Spoiler
Volume 1 chapter 15: the writer got rid of the crap that happened at the tamer guild. I like that. Though will there be a different sort of conflict later?
Thus far this is the biggest difference I'm seeing. And he shared information that he hadn't shared before, which I found weird. I feel like this might evolve into a fight with the first/main tamer guild or maybe just with arrogant tamers.
A future conflict with the arrogant tamers is better than how it was done in the previous novel in my opinion.
I certainly think it'll be interesting to see where the author takes it. Anything but Mathew again lol.
It feels so ugh! I don't mind him rewriting it but it feels like all he did was change a few words or wordings and released it. Almost feels like the author is trying to maximize profits while not doing anything different for the most part.
I've got a special bit of hatred in my heart for the original, not because it was bad, but because it was just good enough to keep me reading despite having the plot equivalent of drying paint. I finally used the excuse of the author having dropped writing it to drop reading it, but now you tell me it's been resurrected?
This made me laugh so much! It’s so true though. The original lacked any excitement after a while. But it was okay to read to pass the time. I’m hoping the re-write will do something about that~
Agreed, I enjoyed it when traveling between places that would take hours. However with regards to the new one, it felt almost completely identical to the old one so far. Can't wait for it to start having a real diverging path from the original.
Well he is a Japanese mc... I can't wait to see how he is around romance.... I don't think there is romance but remember seeing it I believe on the old one at one point in time.
v2c36: Good. They already settled most of the groundwork for Ryuoma to staying in Girumu and to interact with the ojousama amd the Duke household. Now the author should make some characters memorables to the readers. Granted, most of the speech slangs and formals nuances are lost in translation but I think we need more characterization aside from Miya the nya catgirl with a house.
Volume 2 chapter 39: so far it’s on track like the previous version. There are changes here and there which is nice to see. I didn’t expect the adventurers who were taking mc’s teams’ kills to get a bigger part in the novel. It might be good they’re included more in the novel.
It was always interesting to find another new slime variant, that neither the Gods, or probably author, could have imagined. For instance, what do you have to do differently, when feeding the same garbage normally gets you a scavenger, or that one "meat" slime, but instead come out with a "Bug Pestilence" type that attracts almost exclusively roaches?
Im curious if this is going to devolve into the same boring crap as the first one where he makes a laundromat and does like nothing for 50 chapters
