I was under the impression that they basically ignored it if the series wasn't popular, and when the series became popular, they tried to hire the translator, and only if they failed would they kill the translation. Was that not correct?
Well, yes but sometimes they dont hire the TL and try to take it back because its popular after being tl'ed. Which sucks for anyone
