    I will always consider this novel/webtoon as a progressive or very nuanced classic piece I ll keep rereading.
    Because our MC Leslie has self-critical thinking, great inner strenght and enough inner rage to realize that her whole biological family is evil toxic parasitic scum and to free herself from them without a typical effortless black-blond-or-silver-white obsessive superior ML/Manchild with red blue or golden eyes. She did it with her own power (with the help of the other MC)!
    Speaking of, the Monster Duchess is a powerful mature middle-aged badass matriarch with a healthy functional strong loving family.
    You don't really see such older woman character and dynamic that often! Another rare example: THE FABLED WARRIOR
    The only other korean fantasy stories that I find also very deconstructive, untypical and thought provoking:
    BEWARE OF THE VILLAINESS (Lion Queen Bitch Melissa & Sassy Snob Maid Yona destroying the egos of the four MLs) + THE PET OF THE VILLAINESS (Sasha with her emotional intelligence/soft power uplifting empowering other misunderstood mistreated characters) + KINGDOM OF THE QUEEN (No MLs, only fierce relentless female characters challeging/fighting against the misogynistic patriarchic system).
    These four are currently one of my all time favourites :) Less convenient edgy melodrama more breaking the stereotypes ;)
