The building itself is art.

 

the fire is under control

they have managed to safe the clock towers and some of the art

there all already sponsors who have promised millions of euro's for the restoration

 

it's was alrady been rebuilt two times already around 1840 and 1950 a third time doesn't change much, considering the fact some artworks have been shifted beforehand the fire.....

 

But with the more modern technology, people could find out instantly and watch as it happens

 

does matter? what is valuable about a monumet it's his history not the fact is rebuilt.....and people that watch them rebuild it will not be much disappointed, but more curious about it.....

 

for the restoration there has been already been promise hundreds of million euro's
that very good compared when they collected money for repairs a few years back and they only collected 2,5 million euro

 

Someone have uploaded the photos of the woodenly construction of the roof before fire. All those heavy old oak beams. It do wonder if they want to preserve that construction it would only make sense if they exercise extreme fire prevention practices and countermeasures on it both during the building services and especially during renovation works. Were it up for an insurance company they'd ask those wood to be replaced with steel beams.

 

There's a difference between maybe seeing a photo or groups of photos of the event, hearing about it on the radio and maybe reading in the newspaper, to seeing it live happening on video over the internet and every other reaction to it, with the event from several angles.
