The perception of what is bad and what's good is different from people to people. Not all ppl value money. He seems to love his family and his parents, have a normal life he is not a neet so probably a normal social life. If i had the choice i would do the same as him, i wouldn't ditch my friends , my family to live an 'easy' life.
I wonder what ranking he'll get in the competition. Depending on the rules, he'll either have a fairly strong advantage, or no hope at all. Also curious if anyone's remembered that Airsoft guns are a thing. It'd likely be important for the sake of him being allowed to compete. So, Thousand-Mile-Eye has an unexpected downside. Though, this downside makes me wonder how he doesn't wind up accidentally seeing through people...or their clothes.
If he can, it could help him choose his victims better if he ever decides to take the path recommended by @userunfriendly
MC: White with blue pinstripe, white with lace, pink boys cut, pink lace, white Hello Kitty, pink teddy bear, and...oh my god! Black thong! Girls: DIE!!!!!
I feel like it's safe to assume that he can, since we haven't gotten any useful indicators that would suggest that he can't, and given the fact that he can see through walls and mists and other physical obstructions, I don't see how fabric could prevent him from seeing through it (unless of course it's infused with mana or was designed with that intent in mind, but even then, it shouldn't be common place). Nevertheless, it seems as though his powers are an 'active' ability, rather than a 'passive' ability, so it's not like he'll be constantly seeing naked people around.
No problem peeking up girls skirts... Oh come on! If you're male, you've thought about it! Because guys are pigs...oink!
but even if it is an "active" ability, how would he activate it on something he doesn't know is there, like in the last chapter, does the ability becomes a "passive" one in those cases?
I think the previous chapter might have been because of his other Gift, Observation and Reading, which let's him "observe characters in vision". Wasn't really stated, so that's what I assume. Would make sense since this Gift does seem to be above the necklace in power, so it would override the necklace's recognition prevention ability. Thousand-Mile Eyes is an active ability by the looks of it.
I feel like it's a bit of both. The passive is in the form of increasing his natural perception/vision's range and seeing through illusions. His active is in the form of removing obstructions to his vision. E.g. if a normal human can see up to 100 metres away, his perception passive lets him see up to 1000 metres away. If there's a building in the way, most humans won't be able to see past it, including the MC. But if he wants to, he can choose to see through the building. Edit: I totally forgot about his other gift. Could be due to that as well xD
actually, i think both of the abilities are passive and active at the same time Spoiler I activated my Gift. With several abilities I added to Observation and Reading, it should be able to solve this problem as long as it followed the world design I created. Spoiler Thousand-Mile Eyes *Can see far away and somewhat predict target’s movement path.
I feel like hes going to let the match go just so it can go like his novel intended. And maybe piss off some characters cause he isnt taking it seriously.
Plus he knows that the chameleon leader might be interested in him, on the other hand he might get angry if the other guy tries to break him.
He can't beat Kim Horak even if he wanted to since an event is probably going to happen, thus cancelling it.
