I've came across this k-drama called 'The Painter of Wind' from 2009, it says that the drama (there is also a movie…) is based on a novel with the same name by Lee Jung-myung, and that it was really popular back in a day. I found the plot really interesting, and would rather read the book than watch the drama, but I have not found english translation for this book, nor raw to mtl.

Do yourself s favor and watch the drama. The novel will never get translated by this community. It would have been translated 10 years ago if there was interest
