We are here to talk about why is there something called the power of friendship in otaku games where otaku original were loners ? It feels off asi was enjoying persona 3 4 then at the end against boss they say the power of bonds idk why but it tipped me off so I rekt the final boss then gone for a rampage clearing all dungeons solo to prove them wrong
its pretty simple. Power of friendship brings in more money than loner ones. I mean, loner dont really pull players to increase player base, right? Same logic why mmorpg have better sales than just rpg.
It's obviously that these games are made to brainwash us. It rehabilitates Otakus back into the wild.
I think you meant pissed me off. I don't think being a loner is something to be proud of. A true loner shouldn't use a forum Having alone time is another matter of course.
Because it depends on emotions so they can rise depending on the situation, and its not a power that requires an intellectual stance of any kind so its never controversial and it doesnt need intelligence to be understood, basically its safe and affordable
Cheesy lines, meaningless but do carry some weight to some people, ever heard of sugar coated words? Well, in this case they are not but simply cheesy lines overused and in the wrong context it seems, don't give mind them and just enjoy the game
More like money this money that huh I am not sure of being a loner the only thing I do is just not trusting anyone
Most of the time those protagonist aren't real loners but choose to be one out of some childhood trauma or something, unlike a real loner that have some mental illness like autism or someone like me who sometimes likes to socialize but prefers to be alone mostly.
for otaku friendship = fantasy fantasy = not real so friendship = not real It's otaku fantasy and people fantasy about things they don't have so it make perfect sense...
Isn't it because 'eternal friendship and bonds' are sweet lies that make reality less poopy? Fiction is escapism, and escapism is about fleeing harsh truths into your imagination to not get hurt anymore. I think Japanese society is a community driven culture where older and higher ranked people are unconditionally(?) respected and always correct. So bonds and eternal friendship are concepts that support the idea that others really care and love you to exclusion of all else. Truth is that no one is always correct or worthy of respect, and basically everyone will priorize their own benefit and view of world. Friends find loved ones and get separated into their own busy life routines. Companies are all about profit and will kick you out without question once you outlive your usefulness. Coworkers will not support you after you get fired or leave your job, since they're there to get paid and survive, not for you. Loved ones get bored of your same stories and leave you since they want more from their life. Relatives have their own lives to live and no time for always pampering you, etc. Life is all about being transient, fleeting, momentary. The only person who *must* stick with you, is yourself. Believing in power of friendship and bonds, is fiction and "helps" you think in a way that is beneficial to those higher in hierarchy without question... even when you are truly alone.
i just can't deny anything you said there i know that already that's why i got pissed off huh and in the end die like a fool or said to be a fool
Well, in real life, social things and banter can still be enjoyed if one doesn't take it all too seriously. The risk of disappointment comes with reliance and blind trust, because that is the same as giving power over yourself to someone else... In JP tropes, however, once you see it enough it really feels belittling and fake. So maybe the only thing to do about it is to ignore it... I mean, let's face it, in order to read JP novels, many times you need to turn your mind and intelligence "off" to get any enjoyment out of them. F.ex. "romance" in JP novels is mostly really just lust, and built completely on superficial things like someone having bigger boobies and being an exotic proof of male superiority. Imho, that is not how it works.
