This just came out on Ridi. It got my attention because it kinda reminded me of Roxana/The Way to Protect the Female Lead’s Older Brother
Spoiler: Why her brother hates her Based on the first 3 chapters, her twin brother hates her because Raha has blue eyes. Both of them were born with gray eyes. On the day of the coronation of the crown prince, the eyes of the legitimate heir is supposed to change to blue. However, instead of the prince, the princess’ eyes changed to blue. Because of that, her brother hates her but is also obsessed with her eyes. He is obsessed that Raha will one day run away with her eyes. Spoiler: Funeral In chapter 3, they say that all the slaves that are given to Raha are engraved/branded with fire. All of them die within a week. When they place a slave on Raha’s bed, she places them on her lap and strokes their hair so that they can die peacefully. It’s her way of giving them a funeral ceremony. Because of this, she’s used to sleeping with corpses. Most of them give her looks of hatred and resentment as she is the last person they see before dying. same thought, in some kr novels i had read with brothers who 'hate' MC, they are actually obsessed with them...
A friend spoiled me and The development is very good. The author writes good MLs so for this novel it was no different. He did fell for her while he was a slave and later on she will help him escape. He will return with his actual status as king to ask her brother for her hand in marriage. The brother won't be able to turn him down because ML had helped him with some battle. So the brother will let him interact with his sister to see their compatibility. He doesn't know he was the slave since only his sister saw his real appearance. When he left them alone, there's another smut scene. It is a love/hate relationship. I believe he had mentioned he would've wanted to marry her if she wasn't his sister. Also when he left for war, he gave a bird to his sister and one to his fiancee. The one he gave to his fiancee was sick and weak while he gave a good bird to his sister. He also watches her change. He had also mentioned before that if a guy tries to marry her, he would kill that guy.
I read to chapter 80 and they still hadn’t married yet. Though the Emperor and Jamela barely had any scene together. They barely met or talked to each other at all so

This series has ended now with 145 chapters. Spoiler: Ending It would take too long to summarize all previous events, so in short: Karzen is dead. One month later, Raha is still recovering under Oliver's care after having been stabbed in the stomach by Blake. While injured, Raha realized that she didn't want to die and leave Shed behind. Raha wanted to divide the Delo empire into three parts and give one part each to Shed, the Temple of the Holy Kingdom, and Duke Esther (whose sister was Raha's nanny who drank poison on her behalf). However, all three recipients declined. So Raha will be the new Emperor, and both coronation and her wedding with Shed are to follow. Raha makes Shed promise that if they marry, he can't die before her. The story ends with the two embracing each other.
