He really is just injured. The next chapter, mc confronts her dad and literally cries bc she thought he was dead, and reverts to acting childish bc of the shock. The dad is happy he gets to see her acting like a kid for once and they grow closer.

So how does the showdown with the Duke in the infirmary go?

 

The Duke offers to pay compensation to the dad for getting hurt, he refuses, mc speaks up to ask him to take it in her dad's place, and when the Duke asks why, she's like "i need it for mental damage compensation bc this incident was so traumatizing, it made me burst into tears for the first time in my life and may leave a shadow on my future life". The Duke is like "...[mc's dad] u have a really mature kid" and mc is like "well, no matter how you look at it, I'm seven, my dad nearly dying is the most tragic thing that happened in my young life" acting all innocent and honest bc there's no way they can find out about her past life. The Duke is like, "ok fine, what do u want for compensation, money?" and mc is like "nope, i want u to forgive me for a crime i commit once".

Then the Duke fucking FLIPS OUT like RELEASING KILLING INTENT, asking her if she intends to COMMIT MURDER or TREASON AGAINST THE COUNTRY (... Dude this is A PHYSICAL CHILD U R INTIMIDATING FFS) and mc is shaking in her boots before her dad pulls her behind him and is like "if my daughter pissed u off I'm taking the punishment in her place".

Honestly if i was in that situation, the instant the Duke started being all growly and JUMPING TO WILD CONCLUSIONS (like. Bro. Even if mc is mature for her age, how is MURDER AND TREASON more likely than, idk, petty theft of candy or light assault like slapping ur pushy ass son in the face), i would've started crying and asking why he was being so mean. Like, if ur a kid u might as well use ur youth to ur advantage i feel ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

 

The ML is obsessed to her. BTW what happened next when the compensation finished???

 

she slapped kirsec in the face, and then she and her dad return home to start looking for ppl to take care of the household, since the maid/nanny is on leave.

 

No, The Slap is yet to come. That one sentence was like a prelude to the real incident.

 

i feel like chronologically, it happened, but later it'll be described more in detail in the form of a flashback...

 

So what is the real incident?

 

I feel like the reason she wants compensation by the Duke in the form of immunity if she commits a crime, is so she can slap his son. So she can cash that in and not get in trouble for it.

I just started reading this through Kakaopage, but when I looked at the comments there were some placeholders. So, here is a kind of timeline spoiler.

This won't have everything or be very detailed this is just what I got from reading the comments.

• In chapter 55 (though could be a little earlier or later) the FL decides to go abroad for studying. In chapter 56 she tells the ML that she is going abroad.
• Then in chapter 64 is their reunion. I do not know how long they were apart or if there is a time skip in between.
• Chapter 68 has what happens in the first chapter when they are having tea together and she tells him she hit someone else.
• Then finally in chapter 111 is their confession. Not sure who confesses first all the comment said was confession with a pin.

I'm guessing the slap will happen pretty soon but I didn't see a comment on where that was. But that's all I know for now but once I get the chance to read all the chapters I have saved I will come and drop more detailed spoilers for you all. Though it might take a while before then
