Ok so to get this out of the way first, I read all kind of novels be it Japanese, Chinese or Korean. If the story is good to me I will like it, without ever comparing one culture to another, that's racist I tell you. With the recent updates where I see nothing but Chinese novels and finding a Japanese one is "as rare as a Phoenix feather or quilin horn(not really but you get what I mean)" and the few that do pop up have cringy wishfulfiling names, it's understandable Chinese novels get more recognition. One thing that irritate me though is that whenever a topic involving Japanese novels came up, absolutely someone will come and bash it. I don't know where had most of the Japanese translators gone off to nor why, but there are no lack of good novels out there, albeit mostly incomplete. Most popular Japanese novels are licensed and take off the web, the few good ones left are updated monthly if at all, and the mindless wishfulling types are updated quite frequently, even if only for a dozen or two chapters. Reading people complaining about *cough* beta mc *cough* novels like they represent every single Japanese novels out there is like watching someone intentionally enter a bookstore to complain why they sell nothing but books. I know a lot of people are mindless intelligence lifeform who only capable of jumping the bandwagon but seriously, there're way too many. Well since I started this thread as a discussion thread let's discuss something. Are most people unable to think? Too lazy to think? Afraid to think? Only thinking what's convenient for them? Only thinking what's everyone else thinking? Or simply refuse to think? TL;DR What is life?
as long as its good I'll take and none that push the limit of plot armor by immortalizing all character.
Considering that I mostly read from syosetu, and thus Japanese is now 90% of what I read, I chose the lonely Japanese.
as long as there's enough chapters to be worth lookin at, decent, regular updates, and minimal amount of things that make me cringe (errors that look like they took MTL and made it even worse somehow, childish writing, regularly making use of stolen names from other popular media, translators using things like baka, kawaii, and the like because it sounds cute in novels that aren't JP, or an abnormal focus on sex or rape) then i'll usually stick around for a good hundred or so chapters, or until it gets dropped/goes on hiatus. i don't really too much about what the original language was, so long as it eats away at the time.
Life is life. ^-^;;; We live it to live. No standard definition on what constitutes actually living your life. Even if we do what others do, doesn't that still mean we are living? I think as long as our heart still beats and we can still breath that is living. Living well is another thing altogether. That wall was too dense for me to read on mobile...it had no spaces too >.<
Nein nein. While I love traps just like every Steve, Alex, Alice and Arumugan, I don't read only traps. I also read gender benders, incest, yuri and tragedy. Anything with oyakodon is my must read. So if you write a novel and you want me to read, then please lavishly include mother-daughter lesbian incest.
well i only read lala, lolo, and lulu as my (elf) trap material. and no novel that content r 18 since my memory will start randomly blab every novel content I read last time when I see my friend(so no secret should be kept)
