If we follow the conventional isekai templates, either the knights are corrupt, or the corrupt officials will play out in a later arc...I'm betting the later arc, current arc would feel too rushed.

I ve reread the entire serie, we have a demon arriving on a monster (dragon???) a day or 2 after and it is aimed to cora. This arc will be long if we count the number of actors (priscillia, cora, the archbishop, the cardinal, the corrupt captain, the demon, ...) we will have at least 10 more chapters for this arc.

Twisted minds in novels are more fun. Common templates are boring. Where is the joy if its too straight??

 

Raws are boring to read. In fact i'm french i read in english because we can't find anything in my language. And i don't have the time.to learn japanese. I don't want to decrypt a google translation of the raw

 

I'm still disturb by the easily accepted homophobic overtones in every Japanese isekai I've read, but as mentioned, this is common and accepted in Japanese isekai...like the often blatant racism in Korean light novels, and the wuxia overtones in Chinese VRMMO novels.

Having said that, it's fun to read about Lei's cringe moments.

It does sound like the slavers are getting help from the church hierarchy, and I have the sneaking suspicion once everything is resolved, the orphanage will get their confiscated property...

Dragon time! Lei will be OP, and while it won't be as bad as some other OP isekai, where the dragon is..."Oopse, killed a dragon, what's for lunch?" it should be fun...especially every one else's reaction to facing a dragon.

 

They’re acting like going on a picnic rather than a Dragon hunting...

And the girls aren’t any better. There’s an almost casualness to Lei and the girls that’s actually irritating...right on top of the filler chapter.

One can only hope that the humor and action returns next chapter.
