Welcome to Round 3 of the Resistance games! If you still don't know the rules, you can read up on them from the sign up thread or the wikipedia page. Since I'm relatively new to this kind of stuff, I'll just go with the format that Arcturus set up before hand, where you get 24 hours to discuss, 24 hours to vote (mission success or fail will also be sent to me with this vote), and that gets repeated till the game is finished. We have 7 people, 3 of which will be spies, and 4 of which are resistance members. There will be 5 missions which we need to get through, so it would be nice if you guys would keep that in mind. (Min. 5 days, Max. 50 days) The deadline for these votes will be +8 UTC. Anyway... time for some flavour text... @Tony, the tyrant, would not be satisfied with his rule over NUF, and wanted more from his feeble domain. Even after his crushing victories fought throughout time, he still hadn't satisfied his thirst for innocent blood. And thus he started his purge... But alas, some brave warriors stood up to face against him, but! There were spies amidst them! There was no way of knowing who, so they carefully plotted out a plan that hinged on this fact... @Zone Q11 @Uno @Axiel @thrynki @m7vpc @warlokid @GonZ555 Oh yeah, winners get 500 nuffies each. Go for it.
The first Leader is @m7vpc, the next being @warlokid then @GonZ555 and so on. You guys have 24 hours to discuss. The team submission will be given to me in a PM from the Leader.
Well Tony looks to be going for a crushing victory. And the flavor text could use some more work *pat pat*
Yeah but the odds of newbie resistance winning a 4-3 are pretty low unless the spies are really incompetent
First team is @Zone Q11 @m7vpc @Uno Our first mission will be to scout ahead and see if there is any useful information about Tony.
How do you play the game? Does the resistance member's only action in the game is vote who's in the mission? While spies can vote on who's in the mission and fail/succeed the mission?
Well, this is new. Tony indirectly won last game... but I don't know about the first game. Please don't discourage us even more than we already are... In the first place according to Jeanne's original post, the number of spies should be about a third of the whole team, which is 2.33 ...I suppose it was rounded up, but according to her own rule, there should be four people in a mission, which makes it impossible for Resistants to win unless they know each other and constantly choose each other. Is there any though? The only info I got is that he should have been the leader of the Avatarless Faction from years ago.
Both factions will vote whether the chosen ones will enter the mission or not. Only Spies can choose whether the mission fails or succeeds, while Resistants can only succeed the mission. So the problem is "who to trust"-kind of type. Luckily, even though the Spies know each other, they can't communicate with each other unless it is public. But this game is -if Resistants play silent and does not read the mood- pretty much easy to win by the Spies.
Everybody can publicly announce their decision, but they would still have to confirm it in their PM. That's why, even though Anon says that he will approve the team, he can deny it in the end by saying so in the PM.
@Zone Q11 Thanks, starting to make more sense. Welp, I read an online strat on how resistance members could win at least 20% of the time (not very high) but I kinda messed up for it. I should've added just 2 members. But I thought we needed at least 3 so I couldn't change it.
You're welcome. Well then. Time to check the situation. If we only need to choose three people for the team, then the chances of winning has become higher for the Resistant. As of yet, none of us has many info, so even if there is a Spy on the current team, it will only benefit the Resistants. I am on the team, and I am pretty sure I checked that I was a Resistant member, so in my point of view, only @m7vpc and @Uno have 50% chance of being a Spy. Having that said, I already said that we have no information about each other, so I can only approve it. (...man, I am so happy "she" is not here. No offense, but I need a calm game right now.)
