In other novels we see protagonist selling pills/talisman to be earn money. In Sacred Ruins, Chu Feng becomes slave trader to earn money!! He auctions his enemies who are in hot demand. He even host live shows where he thrash young masters for a small fee from audience. (Young Masters are always hated). He even sells meat of his enemies (beast races). Here is one paragraph from the novel to describe MC: "Before he use to sell Divine Son, hunted for Saintess, and sell deity meat. Now he does the looting but also collect the protection money. This fellow is simply a feudal bully, bandit and underworld gang chief, really... Rotten to the core, is top villain, big hoodlum!”
Info on why Earth has became a sacred land for people seeking evolution (the reason why aliens want to enter Earth) (light spoiler): Spoiler Eons ago Earth was one of the most powerful planet in existence (#11 out of infinite number of planets). But Earth was attacked by foreign races and all the powerhouses died. It's inheritence was cut. The planet declined. But the decline itself made Earth a sacred place for people seeking evolution. The Heavenly Dao tries to maintain the rate evolution on all planets i.e.the growth of mutated plants is at a steady pace. But Earth is an exception to that rule as its a planet which is now gaining back it's vitality...so Heavenly Dao doesn't limits the evolution rate on Earth for the starting years so that the planet can recover. The other reason is that since Earth was #11 planet then the ruins of past would have heaven shacking inheritence. Info on the war which is responsible for the decline of Earth : Spoiler The first ten most powerful planets have been same from the beginning of time (at least the written history). Even though Earth was #11 it had a formidable inheritance and for a variety of reasons it was attacked. The first ten planets were involved from behind the scenes. One of the reasons is the breathing method practiced by Chu Feng and Yellow Ox. In the war Earth lost its two "Shining Upon All Heavens" level powerhouses. "Shining Upon All Heavens" is the level where you can shine upon all the planets. It's the level where people offers you sacrifices (remember how ancient Chinese emperors used to offer sacrifice to Heavens? Apparently those sacrifices are for Evolvers who have achieved "Shining Upon All Heavens" realm). When the planet was about to be extinguished...Holy Master came to rescue. He was someone who was even more powerful than the two "Shining Upon All Heavens" powerhouse. The reason being he was a "Domain Master" (think Array Master). He layed down a very powerful formation on Earth which would restrict the level of people who can enter the planet. The barrier would only allow people who have power to the strongest of the native evolver. Info on Holy Master Spoiler In the war he suffered serious injuries. He entered a coffin and went away in the space. Even though Earth had a strong barrier...it can be destroyed if powerhouses of "Shining Upon All Heavens" took action. But they didn't dared because they were wary of Holy Master. If Holy Master was still alive...then he might come and take revenge by exterminating their planet/clane. The powerhouses themselves don't fear Holy Master but they know destruction is more easy than protection. So to save their lineage from Holy Master's wrath...they never attacked Earth directly. So we can thank Holy Master for our survival Info on the profession of Domain Master Spoiler It's Sacred Ruins equivalent of the array/formation masters we see in other novels. Our protagonist has heaven defying talent in Domain. Yes, talent...not relying on cheat.
No romance so far. Spoiler Chu Feng do goes on dates with different girls thanks to his mom. But it's used more for comedy instead of romance. Chu Feng has attraction for Lin Nuoyi (his ex-gf). But they remain only friends. They help each other a lot. I think in future there is a hope of them coming together (after 1k+ chapters). He flirts a lot but that's it.... Chu Feng can defeat people far beyond his level. When he was in Shackles Realm he could defeat opponent who were ahead of him by three to four sub-levels. Initially he used to rely more on treasure (Vajra Cutter). But after he reached Free & Unfettered Realm he can directly challenge anyone who is stronger than him by an entire Realm. This time he relies on himself Spoiler In Free & Unfettered Realm you draw a scroll which would decide your strength. Chu Feng draws a unique scene so he is far more powerful. We never really see Lin Nuoyi in action. Chu Feng never gave her a chance to show her skills as he destroy most of her opponents. But she is very strong from what has been said as Spoiler She inherited one of the strongest legacy in the entire cosmos. Something which would make even the people of strongest planets jealous. Yellow Ox is weaker than Chu Feng but he is also invincible in same realm.
when does chu feng leave earth ? and does he visit other worlds ? what are the others worlds like, are they more like ancient china or the modern world
I'm around 540 (and the raw is around 650+) and so far he hasn't left Earth. He did visited Moon once. It's said that there are some technologically advanced worlds. Like the planet of Machine Race. Most planets would be like ancient China but even then they have basic technologies.
Ch579-580 were so satisfying. Really loved how Holy Master trolled the top powerhouses and destroyed their planets.
could you give brief summary about whats happening now. is the holy master from earth? is this story anyway related to his other stories
Holy Master is from Earth. He's the reason why no one ever dared to exterminate Earth after its defeat. I don't think Sacred Ruins is related with Perfect World (PW) and Shrouding the Heavens (STH). STH's setting was on Earth as well (at start) so I don't think it can be connected with Sacred Ruins. Current Events Spoiler The Deity Race (one of the strongest faction) tries to wipe out our solar system. They believe that Holy Master is dead (or near death at the very least). Their attack is mainly aimed to bring out Holy Master from hiding if he is alive. Deity Race initially use Chu Feng and Monster Monster Princess as an excuse to wipe out the earth. They had killed Saint level powerhouses. (Monster Monster Princess is a human lady who got the "Monster Monster" title due to her unrivaled talent). More info on her Spoiler She was #1 talent in the entire universe. But she ultimately died in the war. At the end a wisp of her 'Will' (or obsession) was stored in a precious metal so that she can be revived. After countless years she awakened in the present era, and becomes a mentor to MC. But current her is still just a wisp of Will. She's not truly alive. Anyways, back to topic: The attack on Solar System takes place. At the last moment Holy Master arrives and tries to save his homeland. Other race's top powerhouses also participate and tries to kill Holy Master. The collaboration of four "Shining Upon All Heavens" powerhouses supposedly kills Holy Master. The powerhouses start bragging but they get shocked when each of them is attacked severely at same time. It's revealed that Holy Master laid out a "domain" to trick them. He nearly defeat them but killing them is something very hard to do even if he was in his top form. Ultimately Holy Master hasn't recovered from his past injuries so he has to flee. He warns the entire Universe of the consequences if they tries to destroy his homeland. To prove his point he destroy few of the planets which are under his current enemies' control. And then he runs away again. More info on where Holy Master went and why Spoiler Holy Master took "Monster Monster" with him so that he can find a way to revive her as the current her is just a wisp of Will. They go to Dilapidated Cosmos which is a dangerous place even to people of Holy Master level. That Dilapidated Cosmos is at the boundary of our current universe. It's supposedly even larger than our universe. Our Universe = Milky Way + top ten races galaxies + countless other galaxies .
So MC finally leaves Earth on Ch653. Before that he did leave Earth but it was more of Mystic Realm Spoiler He went to Purgatory where Land of Reincarnation existed.

There are arrogant masters in Sacred Ruins. Too many in fact who looks down on MC due to him being born on Earth. But the good part is how they are dealed with. Spoiler Slave trading!
The Three Seeds Spoiler The mysterious seeds are from the "World of Living". In fact the seeds were one of the most important reasons as to why Earth was attacked by Deity Race in past. World of the Living & World of the Dead (Major spoiler as it deals with the main story) Spoiler The Universe (which has thousands of galaxies, and the present day Earth is one of the weakest power in it) is nothing but a "World of Dead" or "Netherworld" or "Ghost Realm". The World of Living is the true universe. It's outside of the Dilapidated Cosmos. The World of Living is far stronger than our universe. For them we are nothing but ghosts. The World of Living is filled with Yang energy (i.e. vitality) while World of Death is filled with Yin energy (death energy). People from our universe can't survive in World of Living due to the Yang Qi unless of course you have cheat items like Chu Feng's breathing method.
