    As Heiying had guessed, Wanyong was incandescently enraged. In his case, it was because he knew all too well how it felt to have an engagement thrown away like trash, as well as how rare that kind of supportive, competent, loyal and beautiful fiancee was.

    Plus that was his Shifu right there. Watching him (or her in that life) being taken for granted, abandoned and betrayed was triggering all his homicidal instincts.

    That didn't even cover how sickened and disgusted he was by the self serving prince's actions or how appalled and horrified he was by the imprisonment of the Prince's Kingdom, and Shifu to boot.

    In short, as he watched that lifetime play on, the sentence 'his emotional state went from bad to worse' was an understatement.

    The only bright point was that they had a golden age later when Shifu was done building the place up to be habitable, but that too, eventually ended.

    With Shifu crying all over his brothers who had finally made good on their promise and rescued him. Her.

    And then there was Aoguang. Aoguang who hated the Imperial Family, the two faced 'good' lineage families and all the scheming. Aoguang who hated politicians, marriages for influence and power. Aoguang who believed that it was rare that any nobles out there could be trusted, even if he was looking in the supposedly valiant military families and the supposedly upright scholarly families.

    Aoguang who was so cynical and bitter that he had refused all the marriages proposals put towards him by his father.

    Aoguang who had just seen an entire set of nobility who were cultivators that spent their lives trying to rebuild their kingdom and trying to protect the commoners.. And then had seen these moral paragons get imprisoned and die because their Prince had thrown away his engagement to his exemplary fiancee, caused the death of their Queen and then run off to live a life of luxury after having caused a war and after selling his entire realm out to die.

    Even if the fiancee the bastard had dumped had not been his Shifu's past life, Aoguang would have wanted to torture him to death, slowly.

    As it was, the sheer amount of rage he was feeling would have fueled a city wrecking doom laser.

    Aoguang had just been triggered so damn hard that he had bent the iron railing he had grasped without even noticing it.

    the willow tree encourages the expression of deep emotions, even through great loss we have the ability to grow and there is potential for something new.
