Aoguang was very confused

How did things end up like this? After that spanking he gave Qin Cansheng, in public, no less, the other man should have stopped bothering them.

But no, instead that guy had a boner on his lap, and a flush and bright eyes.

The hell.

No, seriously, What the hell.

If that wasn't strange enough, Qin Cansheng had taken to following him around, and also trying to bully more relatives of people,who worked for Qing Jing, with variously bad and embarrassing results.

Three spankings in and the disturbing look in the man's eyes had gotten worse.

Qin Cansheng's own family had started trying to talk him out of it, to no avail.

His favorite, extremely gentle elder brother Yunsheng had attempted to gently coax him into quitting his actions before he made a worse fool of himself in public and ruined his future prospects.

His spoiled younger brother Musheng had thrown a fit because his brother's actions were now affecting him- in that they were making his preferred future marriage to the Ran Clan's cool and intelligent beauty, Miss Ran Yan, so much more difficult to obtain.

So.

His family, parents and all obviously didn't approve but here he was still pestering Aoguang.

That made no sense.

Naturally Aoguang went to talk to his Shifu about it.

Shifu looked mildly disturbed. "Remember when I lectured you buns and meatbuns about people who enjoy pain?"

"You said they were rare, Shifu." Aoguang frowned.

"I think you may have run into one who not only likes pain to some extent but also has a humiliation kink." Shifu looked even more disturbed. "It's rare but it happens."

Aoguang thought it over. Then he tried to figure out who was the best person to talk to about this.

If it was similarity, it might be that Martial Uncle Liu Qingge of his might be able to explain something about this to him...right? After all, he kept breaking in and getting caught in binding rope traps...

That didn't really go well.

Aoguang barely escaped being beaten to death.

The Sect Master and Shifu had to restrain Martial Uncle Liu Qingge from trying to kill him. Then Shifu asked them both what had happened.

While sputtering in rage, Martial Uncle Liu Qingge snarled that he was not 'like that'! And it wasn't 'that way' and then after they had gotten the rest of the story out of him, Shifu frowned.

"So basically Aoguang asked you, in good faith, what to do about a boy who has been making a mess for Qing Jing outer sect disciples in hopes of getting a spanking... and instead of speaking to him calmly, you attempted to beat him to death in rage? Qingge, stop being ridiculous about this, he wanted advice, not to make aspersions on your character."

"I. Do. Not. Like. Pain." Martial Uncle Liu Qingge gritted out "And I do Not. Enjoy. Being. Humiliated."

He reminded Aoguang of the world's angriest hunting hawk, feathers all sticking out.

But you kept breaking into Shifu's bedroom even though you know the rope traps are there, Aoguang wanted to say, How was I to know you were still in denial?

You know what, never mind. He would have to find someone who could give him better advice.

Martial Uncle Liu Qingge gritted out, as he glared at Aoguang, "Ask. Someone. ELSE."

Aoguang, knowing what was best for him, quickly apologized.

MoQin was the daughter born to the first di wife who had passed away, and was thus the eldest daughter. That was part of why she had been engaged to Ziming in the first place. Their mothers had been friends, and Ziming had wanted a favor from her father for his little brother's sake.

Qingyan,Mingyan, Jingyan by contrast, were all daughters born to the second wife, who had started out as a concubine and been promoted when the first wife had died of childbed fever trying to bring her son into the world.

That son, Jue, was the eldest son of the family and was also an official currently taking the exams in order to rise in rank.

The second wife had better luck in childbed and since she had been both her husband's 'green plum' childhood sweetheart and she was able to give her husband three daughters and two sons, she was quite confirmed in her position as MoQin and Jue's stepmother.

It was out of respect for the first wife's high ranking family that Jue and MoQin didn't lack for material goods from their father.

However, material goods only went so far. They couldn't make up for a lack of talent in the four arts.

Jue was doing quite well, and it looked like he was going to marry a girl he had met, who was linked to his maternal family through a marriage.

MoQin however, was quickly outshone in the four arts and the training given to noble ladies, by all three of her younger sisters.

Qingyan, the second miss of the family, felt she had very good reason to be bitter.

She was the most talented and beautiful girl in the family. She was skilled in all four of the arts, and men had written her poems comparing her to blossoms and jewels. She had a fine singing voice, and was skilled in two instruments. Her calligraphy and poetry were both well favored, and she was also a di daughter.

However, the man she desired, Marquis Ziming, had no interest in her whatsoever.

She had seen him for many years, many visits. He had been engaged to MoQin relatively early, before she even reached puberty, and even then he had been quite highly praised.

He had struck up an obviously warm friendship with MoQin, passing her notes and sending her letters with this or that gift,on various occasions.

However, when it came to them, the daughters of the second wife, he treated them coolly and formally, looking right through all of them like air.

That pricked her pride.

More to the point, her greed was also pricked.

The eldest di daughter obviously couldn't do the things she herself could, but that eldest di daughter had a doting, handsome man to marry, and fine goods that weren't inferior to her own, all coming from the former di wife's family.

All of that was unfair! Worse, no matter how she or her sisters tried to show off in front of Ziming, he didn't even seem to notice it, his attention was all for the trash eldest sister.

As the years mounted, naturally, envy turned to bitterness. None of the sisters could bully MoQin physically while her brother, their father or Ziming was at home, so they took every opportunity that came to rub it in the fact that they had superior skills and MoQin wasn't fit to be seen in public.

They couldn't steal from her so they took to little schemes like claiming that MoQin had given them this or that good thing from what the maternal family had sent.

Qingyan had only tried to claim that MoQin had given her a family heirloom once. It had been a jeweled hairpin from the first wife's dowry and she had wanted it, just because.

Her father had punished her for it, because the maternal family would expect to see every single piece of dowry jewelry worn only by their miss.

She had learned a lesson that day- her eldest sister's family didn't think much of her or her sisters either and would begrudge them anything that had been given to the previous wife.

The bitterness deepened.

This day, she had learned that, having become a Marquis, Ziming could no longer marry her sister because of her lack of skill.

Her father suggested he take MoQin as a concubine. That meant she, Qingyan, would be the di wife! She would finally have things her way (and boss MoQin around!)

For a short time, she had felt high and giddy as a cloud, before his next actions dragged her down to earth.

First, her prospective husband engaged her elder sister to his younger brother. Then he gave her a scathing lecture on how to treat MoQin in the future.

Even now, he still loved her better than his own fiancee?!

This was so unfair! The heavens did not have eyes!

To a brigadier, an alliance through marriage that cost him only the assigning of an unranked son of a wang to a minor military position such as that of a colonel and allowed him to get rid of an unsatisfactory eldest daughter had, at the time, been a godsend. She would be married to a man who might someday be a Count when the offices were given out, and even then Ziming had been an impressive, intelligent fellow, sure to get a cushy job, a house, shops and land from his father.

Well, the Brigadier hadn't reckoned with the fiance rising to the rank of Marquis- one of the ranks where the wife was required to publicly entertain on certain occasions. Most certainly his eldest daughter could not function in such a way so his request to break it off was understandable.

Regrettable but under the circumstances, understandable.

His offer of a stipend for MoQin, on the other hand, was both touching and slightly insulting. Did he think that this Brigadier couldn't afford to keep his daughter in comfort even if she was unable to marry?!

But no. No, it wasn't that. It was clearly the fact that he worried for her in spite of the breaking of their engagement.

Knowing his other three daughters were well skilled in the arts, fine young maidens capable of entertaining fellow noblewomen, he came up with the scheme to keep the engagement in the family and still keep the Marquis' favor.

How was he to know that the Marquis would find MoQin a marriage on his own, to his younger brother, Zisheng, of all people?!

Zisheng had done well with his command. He was also a Count, a good choice by any measure.

Two daughters married into noble households, the Brigadier was pleased. He had clearly lucked out.

 

Changing Ran Wen to Ran Yan, also changing Second Miss' name from Fengyan to Qingyan, lol.

The story of Liu Qingge's life:

 

On one hand, Augoung is such a naive cutie. To think he went and asked LQG that.
On another hand, I won't blame LQG. No one wants to be misunderstood endlessly. But... why would he broke into G's housing knowing the rope traps is there? Can't he attack from the outside to attract their attention? I'm only asking this because I thought it's only one time LQG gotten into the trap, not multiple times. If he repeatedly break in knowing the trap is there and unable to avoid it, won't it make him stupid?

Get rekt already, woman. How could someone be so entitled?! So annoying. And I don't like the father either. If Mo Qin is married to Zisheng, that's already a solid connection. To think he'd be so greedy as to match Qingyan with Ziming.... ewwww.

 

LOL. Cnovel greed is only to be expected.

Also LQG keeps breaking and entering from different places.

You know the Kool Aid Man commercials? He tried those. He tried everything. Always rope traps keep catching him. It is not that LQG is stupid, it is that Enlai is constantly refining his Traps Mastery.

With Martial Uncle Liu Qingge being utterly useless in this predicament, living so far in denial that he may as well have been in another country, Aoguang thought over who else he could possibly ask for advice. For such a weird guy, one would naturally not ask the Sect Master, and the other Peak Lords...

The Medicine Peak would probably just want to see what was wrong with that guy's head. They might try to dissect him- not a good idea to ask there, then.

The Ascetics Peak, all ascetics with no interest in sex. Never mind.

Logistics Peak- So stupid that it was pointless to ask them.

Swordsmiths Peak, Talismans Peak,Beast Training Peak didn't have problems like his. You never saw those swordsmiths being chased around by crazy people...unless they were crazy people who were crazy about new swords.

If there were people like that, he didnt want to know.

Despite being the only 'S' he knew of in their peak, Wang An's advice was also utterly useless. It all revolved around pushing Qin Cansheng down and eating his tofu.

Don't even bring up Xian Shu peak's people, even though he avoided them on purpose because a disproportionate amount of their population were fujoshi, they went and cornered him anyway.

They quickly advised him the exact same thing. Push Qin Cansheng down and eat his tofu so roughly he wouldn't be able to walk the next day.

The hell.

So many people giving him the same advice. Even the senior martial sisters had rotten minds! Some girls were quickly suggesting really disturbing bondage games. Where the hell did they get all this?!

It had to be Wang An's fault, he was the one who got the girls interested in 'punishing' pretty men with that stunt he pulled, letting all the Fujoshi Club members use toys on his male brides.

Also what kind of perverts was the Xian Shu Peak spawning, that he got requests from them to let them watch while he pushed Qin Cansheng down?!

Some of those girls, he didn't even recognize, but they all wanted to watch.

If he brought that up to their peak lord, not just the peak lord but the entire peak would be his enemies! Best not to mention it or think further on it. They were all draping themselves over Wanyong anyway.

Aoguang would light a candle for him. It looked like he really needed it.

Is it wrong that I'm shipping Ziming and MoQin? Ziming sounds like someone who would treasure his lover while pampering them till they're spoiled rotten. How That Man - aka Wang An - managed to hook him is a mystery.

Pats Aoguang. His dad really was scum.
I can only imagine G's family's reaction to those fanfics. Critique them and offer to be their editor and publishing partners maybe? As for Cansheng .........

Liu Qingge is so deep in denial. If he doesn't like pain, then don't go looking for G when you know what the results will be.
Also, I don't feel sorry for Aoguang, in my opinion, he brought this on himself. After ignoring or cruelly cutting off all the others trying to gain his attention, he goes and personally lectures and "disciplines" Cansheng. Of course, this will make Cansheng believe that this is the right way to gain Aoguang's attention - which is proven true - so of course, he'll continue on down the road of an M. And if he finds a certain enjoyment from it, all the better. Perhaps Aoguang himself also holds an interest in Cansheng, but buries it deep down inside.

I feel sorry for MoQin, with a dad and sister that greedy and shameless.

 

Getting advice from the biggest S and a peak full of rotten minds, it's a wonder Aoguang hasn't been led astray by either party yet.
It's been a while since we've heard anything about Wanyong. Wonder what kind of shenanigans his ladies have been doing to torment his ex.

 

1. Ziming is platonic soulmates and besties with MoQin.
2. As for the fanfics, those will be discussed in a future cake.
3.Aoguang only disciplined that guy publicly because as far as he knew, it would work as a deterrence on anyone else. Alas, he found the weird banana in a crate of apples aka the rare person that actually likes that sort of thing.
4. MoQin's family isn't good, yeah. Her father thinks he is a great dad, but Ziming would beg to differ.
5. Wanyong's life is suffering. Too many girls dragging him everywhere. Too many days of beating up cnovel cannon fodder guys who have a thing for the girls that claim to be in love with him.

Earlier, he had found himself in a world where the native Shen Qingqiu all but doted on his counterpart. He had quickly figured out this was the same as the Shen Qingqiu from the very first dream he had, but not the Shizun who cuddled him and had met him in the second.

In that world, his counterpart and Shen Qingqiu's were in a monogamous relationship, and to his shock, the man had taken care of him gently and from every indication, there was obvious deep affection.

He had only found out the pair were in a monogamous relationship when he went off to visit Liu Mingyan and Ning Yingying, thinking they were part of his native counterpart's harem. He had wanted to take advantage of this to have sex with them only to find out that they were both supporting his counterpart's relationship with his master.

He had read that world's Shen Qingqiu's memories as he slept and allowed that man to tend to him just to see what he was really like. It had been very informative.

It also made him bitterly envious.
He still was bitterly envious.

That counterpart of his may not have had his level of sexual experience, nor a harem, but he was deeply and loyally loved. He had been a treasured student and now was a treasured life partner.

That counterpart of his was so lucky and he didn't know why.

That world's Shen Qingqiu hadn't wanted to bed him, only wanting to be with his counterpart.

Why was it that the past Shen Qingqiu had tormented him so much but this counterpart of his had so much love from his master?

Why was it that he felt his relationships with his harem were suddenly lacking?

They were both Luo Binghe, so why was it different?

Weren't they exactly the same person?
